INTRODUCTION

PT ADHI CIPTA UTAMA recognizes the importance of safeguarding the environment wherever
it conduct its business operation. PT ADHI CIPTA UTAMA will endeavor to continually seek to
improve operating procedures and equipment in line with its environmental Policy. To this
end PT. ADHI CIPTA UTAMA will adhere to the Environmental Policy described as follows:

Environmental pollution and hazardous materials will be kept to a minimum at any facility or
job site.

Requisitions for materials that are considered hazardous will be reviewed by PURCHASING to
ensure that only the quantity required for a particular application are purchased. When there
is doubt as to the hazard posed by any material on site or to be purchased, contact the
Regional Safety Officer.

Job Hazard Review or Risk Assessment & Identification, and Work Permits should list all
potentially hazardous substances that are expected to be encountered on the job site. This
information is to be passed on to all personnel on the job site through a daily meeting or
TOOLBOX Talk.

Leaks or drips from operating machinery will be controlled and minimized by regular
scheduled maintenance procedures. Where appropriate, drip trays will be utilized to prevent
oils and lubricant fluids from creating a hazard to the environment. Employee responsibility is
to report hazardous conditions or potential condition to their supervisor. The supervisor is
responsible for reporting to the Area Office, if applicable, and completing the formal reports
on the Near-Miss/Equipment Failure/Hazardous Identification Form.

All hazardous materials and oil or lubricating oils will be disposed of in the appropriate
manner, to minimize impact to environment.

The facility Manager or the on-site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all
employees are trained in Hazardous Materials and Disposal.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS’s) will be maintained for all Hazardous Materials at each
facility or job-site.

MSDS’s will be requested from each vendor supplying materials to the facility or job-site.

All Spills or release of hazardous materials into the environment shall be reported (refer to
listing of notification numbers within this document).

All Spills or release of hazardous materials will be cleaned up according to applicable


procedures. Employees trained in Hazardous Materials Response will contain or stop any Spill
or release to the extent of their training.

Each facility and job-site will have the necessary equipment and supplies to respond to and
clean up hazardous Spills on their location. If the Spill or release is on a Client’s property, the
supervisor is responsible for notifying the Client’s representative forthwith. If the Client has in
place a hazardous materials response team, the supervisor, in concert with the Client’s
representative, will activate the appropriate response team.

The Project Manager or the Operations Manager is responsible for insuring that all sub-
contractors comply with PT. ADHI CIPTA UTAMA Environmental & Spillage Policy/Procedures.
Contracts with Sub-contractors must be modified to reflect this requirement.

Supervisors will insure that all hazardous materials are labeled in the required manner. All
hazardous materials will be packaged, handled, moved and transported in such a way to
minimize release in case of accident.

If the Spill or release, is such, that the appropriate agencies must be notified, the supervisor
will notify the Regional Safety Officer, and the Regional Safety Company Executive so that this
notification can be initiated immediately.

Employees who intentionally cause a release or fail to report hazardous Spills will face
disciplinary action of a minimum, an employee warning, and a maximum of termination.
