Increasing importance is attached to the functionality of workwear
and protective clothing. It has to protect from weather impact and
risks of accidents and to reduce chemical, thermal or mechanical
influences. In addition to the demands on functionality, requests on
wearing comfort and appearance have become more important, too.
New materials and the adjustment of workwear and protective
clothing to today’s requirements have opened up large fields
demanding linked, inter-divisional know-how.

Moderne Textilien müssen ein hohes Maß an
Funktionalität und Tragekomfort sowie ein
aktuelles Design in sich vereinen. Die „Corporate
Fashion“ als textile Visitenkarte von Unternehmen
spielt dabei eine zunehmend große Rolle.
Eines der wichtigsten Kriterien für moderne
Berufs- und Schutzbekleidung ist ein hoher Quali-
tätsstandard in Sachen Funktionalität. Die Beklei-
dung soll langlebig sein, beste Wascheigenschaf-
ten besitzen und eine hohe Abrieb- und Reiß-
festigkeit garantieren. Je nach Berufsgruppe
sollen die Textilien vor Hitze, Kälte, Feuchtigkeit,
Elektrostatik, Schnittverletzungen oder Feuer
schützen und hohe Hygienestandards erfüllen.
Um die gewünschten Eigenschaftsprofile zu er-
halten, kommen ganz unterschiedliche Materialien
und Fasern zum Einsatz. Oft sind es Gewebemi-
schungen aus strapazier­fähigen Naturfasern, wie
Baumwolle, gemischt mit synthetischen Fasern,
um die Pflegeleichtigkeit und Festigkeit des Textils
zu erhöhen.
Wegen ihrer Universalität haben Textilien aus
Chemiefasern einen großen Anteil an funktionell
anspruchsvoller Berufs- und Schutzbekleidung.
Polyesterfasern zeichnen sich beispielsweise
durch hohe Reißfestigkeit, Formbeständigkeit und
Scheuerfestigkeit aus. Mit diesem Material produ-
zierte Bekleidung ist pflegeleicht und knitterarm.
Unser Anteil an intelligenten, hochfunktionellen
Textilien beginnt bereits bei der Faserherstellung
durch Produkte, die eine reibungslose, effiziente
Herstellung hochwertiger Garne ermöglichen.
Auch mit der Vorbehandlung schaffen wir die
nötigen Voraussetzungen für die problemlose
Weiterverarbeitung in den folgenden Prozess-
stufen, wie z. B. dem Färben, bei dem unsere
Farb- und Färbespezialisten mit ihrem Know-how
die richtigen Signale setzen. Die Textilien erhalten
hier, ebenso wie durch das Bedrucken, wichtige
Schutzfunktionen, die dank ausgereifter Farb-
stoffe und Hilfsmittel lange erhalten bleiben.
Unsichtbaren, aber hochwirksamen Schutz z. B.
gegen gefährliche Krankheitsüberträger bieten
hingegen richtig ausgerüstete Textilien. Moderne
funktionelle Beschichtungen ermöglichen den
vielfältigen Einsatz von Textilien, die im Bereich
von Schutzbekleidung mittlerweile schwerere und
weniger flexible Werkstoffe wie z. B. Leder,
Kunststoffe und Metall im Einsatz verdrängen.

Modern textiles have to combine a high degree
of functionality, of wearing comfort and modern
design and the “corporate fashion” as a textile
visiting card of companies has gained in
importance.
One of the most important criterion for modern
professional and protective clothing is a high
quality standard with regard to functionality.
The clothing is supposed to be long-lasting to
possess the best washing qualities and to
guarantee a high abrasion and breaking strength.
Depending on the occupational group, textiles
also have to protect from heat, cold, humidity,
electrostatic, cutting damage or fire and fulfil high
hygienic standards.
To obtain the desired property profiles completely
different materials and fibres are used, often
blends of hardwearing natural fibres like cotton
mixed with synthetic fibres to increase the easy
care and the stability of the textiles.
Due to their universality, textiles made from
man-made fibres contribute a large part to highly
functional workwear and protective clothing, for
example Polyester fibres stand out for there high
breaking strength, form stability and abrasion
resistance. Clothing produced from this material
is also easy care and crease-resistant.
Our contribution to intelligent and highly functional
textiles starts at the fibre production stage with
our products allowing for easy and efficient
fabrication of high quality threads. In pretreatment
too we provide the necessary conditions for
smooth processing, in the following process
steps e.g. in dyeing, where our colour and dye
experts set the right standards with their
know-how. The textiles receive important
protective functions through printing which are
long-lasting due to preferred dyes and auxiliaries.
Invisible, but highly efficient protection e. g.
from dangerous diseases is offered by correctly
finished textiles. Modern functional coatings allow
the versatile application of textiles used in the field
of protective clothing offering advantages to less
flexible materials like leather, synthetics and
metal.
BERUFS- UND
SCHUTZBEKLEIDUNG
Fasern
Fasern, Garne und Fäden sind während der
Herstellung vielfältigen und stark wechselnden
mechanischen Belastungen ausgesetzt. Spinn-
präparationen und -avivagen sind Voraussetzung
für eine wirtschaftliche Produktion und Weiter-
verarbeitung von Synthese- und Naturfasern.
Reibung in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung ist
ständiger Begleiter in der gesamten Prozesskette,
von der Extrusion der Polymerschmelze bis zum
Aufspulen des gezwirnten Fadens. Unsere Faser-
hilfsmittel steuern Reibung und kontrollieren die
elektrostatische Aufladung. Sie leisten an der
Grenzfläche Faser  /​ ­  Werk­stoff bzw. Maschinen-
bauteil wirksame Prozesshilfe. Ergebnis sind
qualitativ hochwertige Garne, hohe Durchsätze,
wenig Abfall, geringe Stillstandzeiten in der Pro-
duktion sowie saubere Maschinen und Spinnsäle.
Vorbehandlung
In der Vorbehandlung wird das textile Material für
alle nachfolgenden Schritte optimal vorbereitet.
Das Entfernen von Störsubstanzen und natür-
lichen Begleitsubstanzen ermöglicht eine pro-
blemlose Weiterbehandlung des Textils. Durch
Veränderungen der Faserstruktur können hier
sogar völlig neue Materialeigenschaften erzielt
werden. Das CHT-Produktsortiment in der Vorbe-
handlung ermöglicht in kurzen und effizienten
Prozessen eine optimale Reinigung von Natur-
und Chemiefasern.
Farben / Färberei
Farben haben Signalcharakter und bieten uns
eine reiche Palette zur kreativen Gestaltung.
Textile Materialien werden mit Textilfarbstoffen in
wässrigen Medien gefärbt. Im Zusammenspiel mit
den Farbstoffen ermöglichen Färbereihilfsmittel ei-
ne flächenegale Anfärbung. Die CHT-Färbereihilfs-
mittel verleihen Farben die gewünschte Tiefe und
Brillanz. Sie ermöglichen die erforderlichen Farb-
echtheiten und sorgen nachhaltig dafür, dass Far-
ben nicht verblassen – damit bleiben Brillanz und
Tiefe lange erhalten. Die BEZEMA AG, eine Ge-
sellschaft der CHT Gruppe, entwickelt, produziert
und vertreibt ein komplettes Sortiment an Textil-
farbstoffen und Pigmenten für nahezu alle Textil-
materialien und Fasern. Effiziente Produktions-
verfahren, moderne Produktionsanlagen in
Europa und in Übersee sowie ein mehrstufiges
Prüfsystem sichern den hohen Qualitätsstandard
der Produkte.
WORKWEAR AND
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
Fibres
Fibres, yarns and threads are exposed during
production, to many and changing mechanical
strains. Spinning finishes are necessary for
economic production and further processing of
man-made and natural fibres. Different strong
frictions take place during the whole process
chain from extrusion of the polymer melt to the
winding of the twisted thread. Our fibre auxiliaries
control this and the electrostatic charge and thus
render efficient process support at the boundary
surface of the fibre / material or machine part.
High quality threads, high outputs, less waste,
reduction of stoppages in production and cleaner
machinery and spinning rooms.
Pretreatment
In pretreatment the textile material is prepared
in the best possible way for all subsequent
processes. The elimination of disturbing and
natural accompanying substances permit easy
further processing of textiles. Even completely
new properties of the material can be obtained
by modifying the fibre structure. The CHT product
range for pretreatment enables an optical
cleaning of natural and manmade fibres in
shorter and more efficient processes.
Colours / Dyeing
Colours have signal effects and offer us a rich
palette for creative activities. Textile materials
are dyed with dyes in an aqueous media, in
combination with dyeing auxiliaries which
produce a level surface dyeings. The CHT-dyeing
auxiliaries give colours the desired depth and
brilliance. They produce the necessary colour
fastness and make colours durable so that there
is less fading and the brilliance and colour depth
are maintained longer. The BEZEMA-AG,
a subsidiary of the CHT Group develops,
produces and commercialises a complete range
of textile dyes and pigments for all kinds of textile
materials and fibres with efficient production
procedures in modern plants in Europe and
overseas as well as a multistage testing system
assures the high quality standard of the products.

Farben / Druckerei
Textilhilfsmittel für Farbstoff- und Pigmentdruck
sorgen für einen bleibenden Eindruck. Wir stellen
für alle Druckverfahren, Farbstoffklassen und Fa-
serarten eine breite Palette an Spezialprodukten
bereit und erarbeiten gemeinsam mit unseren
Kunden ganz spezifische Lösungen, die exakt auf
ihre Anforderung abgestimmt sind. Bei der heute
wichtigsten Farbstoffklasse, dem Pigmentdruck,
kommt es insbesondere auf eine gute Bindung
zwischen den Farbstoffen und der Faser an. Un-
sere filmbildenden Bindemittel haften perfekt am
Substrat und fixieren die Pigmente zuverlässig auf
dem Textil. Zusammen mit unseren synthetischen
Verdickern gewährleisten sie äußerst hochwertige
Druckergebnisse. Ob transparent oder deckend,
glänzend oder matt, als Dickschicht oder ganz
weich, als Schaum oder glatt, alles einzeln oder in
Kombination – mit unseren Druckpasten sind Ih-
ren Ideen fast keine Grenzen gesetzt. Alle Pasten
sind wasserbasierend und können mit Pigment-
konzentraten kombiniert werden.
Ausrüstung
Die modernen Ausrüstungsprodukte der CHT
Gruppe verleihen Garnen, Stoffen und Vliesen
eine Vielzahl von Eigenschaften. Besonders
Eigenschaften wie Tragekomfort, Bügelfreiheit,
Weichgriff und Antistatik spielen bei der Berufs-
und Schutzbekleidung eine bedeutende Rolle.
Unsere Produkte verleihen jedoch nicht nur
höchsten Gebrauchs- und Tragekomfort durch
Pflegeleichtausrüstung. Von uns entwickelte
intelligente Systeme bieten beispielsweise auch
Schutz vor Bakterien oder krankheitsüber-
tragenden Insekten.
Beschichtung
Die Beschichtung spielt bei der Ausrüstung
modernster funktioneller Textilien eine wichtige
Rolle. Hier gibt es ständig Neuentwicklungen und
Fortschritte. Um steigende Qualitätsansprüche
bedienen und zugesagte Produkteigenschaften
in allen Bereichen garantieren zu können, muss
die Chemie exakt auf die Grundware und den
späteren Einsatzzweck abgestimmt sein.
Intelligente Beschichtungslösungen zeichnen sich
durch die Kombination verschiedener Funktio-
nalitäten aus. Es genügt nicht mehr, nur einzelne
Eigenschaften zu garantieren, oft sind multifunkti-
onale und teilweise widersprüchliche Lösungen
gefragt. Wir bieten innovative Produkte für
anspruchsvolle Beschichtungslösungen, um die
komplexen Herausforderungen zu meistern.

WORKWEAR AND
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
Colours  / Printing
Textile auxiliaries for dyestuff and pigment printing
give a permanent impression. We provide a
large range of special products for all printing
proccedures, dye classes and types of fibers.
Together with our custommers we work out
solutions for their specific requirements. In case
of the most important dye class nowadays –
the pigment print – a good bonding between
pigment and fibre is particularly important. Our
film building binders perfectly adhere to the
substrate and solidly fix the pigments on the
textile. Together with our synthetic thickeners
they guarantee very high quality printing result.
Whether transparent or covering, brilliant or matt,
as a thick layer or very soft, as foam or smooth,
separately or in combination our printing pastes
do not set any limits to your ideas. All pastes are
water-based and can be combined with pigment
concentrates.
Finishing
Modern CHT finishing products give a spectrum
of properties to threads, fabrics and non wovens.
Special properties like wearing comfort, easy
care, soft handle and antistatic effects play an
important role for workwear and protective
clothing. However our products not only give the
highest wearing comfort by easy care finishing,
but intelligent systems, which we have
developed, offer for example protection from
bacterias or disease transmitting insects.
Coating
Coating plays an important role in the finishing of
most modern functional textiles with constantly
new developments and progress. In order to
guarantee increasing quality demands and
promised product properties, chemistry has to be
adjusted to textile and enduse. Intelligent coating
solutions are characterised by the combination of
different functionalities. Not only single properties
have to be guaranteed, multifunctional,
sometimes even contradictory solutions are
demanded. With innovative products we develop
sophisticated coating solutions, so that textiles
can meet those complex challenges.
OPTIMALE
EIGENSCHAFTEN
Metallabweisung / Säure- / Chemikalienschutz
Schutz vor flüssigen Metallspritzern oder Funken-
flug beim Schweißen bietet eine waschperma-
nente Spezialbeschichtung auf geeigneten Faser-
typen. Hervorragenden Schutz gegen Säuren
und Chemikalien bieten spezielle Fluorcarbone.
Flammschutz
Arbeiten unter extremen Bedingungen erfordern
eine Schutzbekleidung, die flammhemmend
ausgerüstet oder beschichtet ist. Die physio-
logischen Trageeigenschaften werden dabei
im Idealfall nicht beeinträchtigt.
Wasser- und luftundurchlässig
sowie atmungsaktiv
Hoher Tragekomfort durch einen optimalen
Feuchtigkeitstransport bietet intelligentes
Moisture-Management mit Hilfe von
Schaumbeschichtungen und Laminaten.
Bakteriostatisch
Textilien mit bakteriostatischer Ausrüstung erhal-
ten über einen langen Zeitraum einen effektiven
Schutz vor Bakterien.
Vektorenschutz
Eine Vektorenschutzausrüstung auf Textilien soll
Krankheiten übertragende Insekten abhalten, den
Menschen zu stechen oder zu beißen, und so ei-
ne Erregerübertragung weitestgehend verhindern.
Leuchtwirkung
Berufs- und Schutzbekleidung mit deutlicher
Warnwirkung und Erkennbarkeit durch
Leuchtfarben und Reflexion.
Tarnung
Militärische Tarnmuster werden als eine Art
Schutzmechanismus genutzt, um das
Erscheinungsbild eines Soldaten oder eines
Objektes so zu verändern, dass es im
bestehenden Umfeld möglichst nicht mehr
erkennbar ist.
Schusssicher, langlebig und robust
Beschichtungen als Schutzmaßnahme gegen
äußerliche Gegebenheiten wie Witterungs-
einflüsse, mechanische Beanspruchung oder
aggressive Substanzen müssen die geforderten
Anforderungsprofile erfüllen.

Protection from metals / acids / chemicals
Protection from liquid metal splashes or flying
sparks during welding is offered by a wash
permanent special coating on suitable fibre types.
Protection from acids and chemicals is obtained
by particulary developed fluorocarbons.
Flame protection
Protective clothing for working under extreme
conditions needs flameretardant finishing or
coating. Ideally the physiological wearing
comfort is not influenced by the flameretardant
treatment.
Water- and airproof, but breathable
High wearing comfort by optimum water vapour
transport, provided from intelligent moisture
management with foam coatings or laminates.
Bacteriostatic
Textiles with bacteriostatic finish offer efficient and
long lasting protection against bacteria.
Vector protection
A vector protection finish on textiles is to keep
off insects transmitting diseases by biting humans
and to largely prevent any transmission of
pathogenic agents.
Fluorescent effect
Workwear and protective clothing with a clear
warning effect and visibility by fluorescent colours
and reflection.
Camouflage
Military camouflage patterns are used as a kind of
protective mechanism to change the appearance
of a soldier or an object possibly in such a way
that the person/object is no longer visible in the
existing surrounding.
Bulletproof, long lasting and sturdy
Coatings as protective measures against external
impacts such as influence of the weather,
mechanical stress or aggressive substances must
fulfil the necessary requirements.

Die Vorbehandlung von Webware aus 100 % CO,
CO / PES und CO / PA erfolgt meist kontinuierlich.
Eine Behandlung auf dem Jigger und Baum ist
ebenfalls möglich, wird aber selten angewandt.
Wichtig in der Vorbehandlung ist es, eine mög-
lichst hohe Reinheit der Ware zu erzielen, damit
die nachfolgenden Prozessstufen wie Färben,
Ausrüstung und / oder Beschichtung problemlos
verlaufen.
Anforderungsprofil
Das Anforderungsprofil hängt stark von den nach-
folgenden Prozessstufen und dem Endeinsatz
des Textils ab. Im Allgemeinen gilt:

VEKTORENSCHUTZAUSRÜSTUNG
In der Biologie / Medizin werden unter dem Begriff
„Vektoren“ ganz allgemein Krankheitsüberträger
zusammengefasst. Der Vektor überträgt dabei die
Krankheitserreger von einem Wirt auf einen ande-
ren Organismus, ohne dabei selbst zu erkranken.
Typische Vektoren sind blutsaugende Insekten
wie beispielsweise Stechmücken, durch deren
Biss Krankheiten wie Malaria oder Denguefieber
übertragen werden.
Eine Vektorenschutzausrüstung soll krankheits-
übertragende Insekten davon abhalten, den
Menschen zu stechen oder zu beißen, und so
eine Erregerübertragung weitestgehend verhin-
dern.
Als Möglichkeit der Gesamtprävention gilt neben
Impfung und Chemoprophylaxe (Malaria) das
Tragen von imprägnierter Schutzbekleidung.
Die mit Vektorenschutzausrüstung versehenen
Textilien müssen dauerhaft wirksam gegen alle
blutsaugenden Gliedertiere sein. Die Schutzwir-
kung muss auch noch nach wiederholter Wäsche
des Textils vorhanden sein.
Einen besonders zuverlässigen und wirkungs-
vollen Schutz gegen Vektoren bietet Permethrin.

VECTOR PROTECTION FINISHING
In biology / medical science the term “vectors”
stands for disease carriers in a general sense.
The vector passes the germ from one host to
another organism without being infected itself.
Typical vectors are sanguivorous insects such as
e. g. mosquitoes which pass diseases such as
malaria or dengue through their bite.
A vector protection finish is to prevent
morbiferous insects form twinging or biting
human beings and avoiding thus a passing of
germs to a large extent.
Besides vaccination and chemical prophylaxis
(malaria) the wearing of impregnated protective
clothing is said to offer complete prevention.
Textiles finished with vector protection must
be permanently efficient against any type of
sanguivorous arthropods. The protection effect
must still exist on the fabric even after repeated
washing cycles.
A particularly reliable and efficient protection
against vectors is provided by permethrin.
CHT Group offers the product BEMATIN PER 40
on the basis of permethrin.

BEMATIN PER 40 can be applied by padding or

In vielen Fällen reichen klassische Textil-
ausrüstungen für die geforderten hohen
Sicherheitsstandards nicht aus. Verschiedene
Anforderungen können nur durch spezielle,
qualitativ hochwertige Beschichtungen erfüllt
werden. Stellvertretend für diesen Sektor stehen
die folgenden Beispiele.
SCHUTZBEKLEIDUNG FÜR
METALLVERARBEITENDE BERUFE
Der Schutz vor flüssigen Metallspritzern oder
Funkenflug beim Schweißen stellt besondere
Anforderungen an die Arbeitsschutzbekleidung.
Für diesen Einsatzbereich bietet die CHT Gruppe
intelligente Beschichtungslösungen auf Basis
einer speziellen Pastenbeschichtung unter dem
Namen TUBICOAT MEA an und eine flammhem-
mende Stabilschaumbeschichtung unter dem
Namen APYROL MAS. Diese speziellen Be-
schichtungen zeigen nicht nur auf den gängigen,
am Markt eingesetzten Fasern Wirkung, wie z. B.
Aramiden oder flammhemmenden Wollmischun-
gen. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, permanent
flammhemmend ausgerüstete Baumwolle zu
beschichten. Das Resultat ist eine angenehm
zu tragende Schutzbekleidung mit sehr guter
Waschbeständigkeit, die die geforderten Sicher-
heitsstandards erfüllt. Die CHT Gruppe bietet mit
diesen Spezialprodukten eine ökonomisch
äußerst interessante Variante an.
HITZESCHUTZ
Für Tätigkeiten, die die Träger von Schutzbeklei-
dung starken Hitzestrahlungen aussetzen, z. B.
bei Hochofenarbeiten, bieten Alukaschierungen
mit geeigneten Folien in Kombination mit
APYROL MAS, das hier als flammhemmender
Klebstoff für die eingesetzte Folie dient, eine gute
Reflexionswirkung. Darüber hinaus existiert ein
wirksamer Schutz gegen flüssige Metallspritzer.
Selbstverständlich erfüllt auch diese Beschich-
tung die in diesem Bereich geforderten Normen.
Laminierungen auf Basis der Schaum­technologie
gewährleisten weiche und elastische Griffausfälle
und sorgen für den bestmöglichen Tragekomfort.

COATING
In many cases classic textile finishing is not
sufficient for the demanded high safety
standards. Various demands can only be met
through special, high quality coatings and we
would like give some examples for this sector.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR
METAL PROCESSING INDUSTRY
Protection against liquid metal splashes or flying
sparks during welding makes particular demands
on protective clothing. For this application field
CHT Group offers intelligent coating solutions
based on a special paste coating under the name
of TUBICOAT MEA and a flameretardant stable
foam coating under the name of APYROL MAS.
These special coatings are not only effective on
fibres currently used on the market like aramids
or flameretardant wool blends. There is also the
possibility to coat permanently flameretardant
treated cotton which results in a protective
clothing with high wearing comfort and excellent
washfastness in order to meet the required safety
standards. The CHT Group offers an economically
very interesting variant with these special
products.
HEAT PROTECTION
For activities where protective clothing is
exposed to strong heat radiation, e. g. furnace
worker, aluminium laminations with suitable foils
in combination with APYROL MAS used as
flameretardant adhesive for the applied foil offer
a good reflection effect. Moreover, the person is
efficiently protected against liquid metal splashes.
This coating meets of course the standards
requested in this field. Laminations based on
foam technology guarantee soft and elastic
handles and provide the best possible wearing
comfort.

WETTERSCHUTZBEKLEIDUNG
Bei Wetterschutzbekleidung sind die Begriffe Tra-
gekomfort und Atmungsaktivität eng miteinander
verbunden. Unter Atmungsaktivität versteht man
bei Funktionsbekleidung in der Regel eine Was-
serundurchlässigkeit bei gleichzeitiger Wasser-
dampfdurchlässigkeit. Das heißt, Wasser – in
Form von Regen – kann das Textil von außen
nicht durchdringen, während Schweiß – in Form
von Wasserdampf – vom Körper weg nach außen
abtransportiert werden kann. Dieser Feuchtig-
keitstransport wird mit Hilfe mikroporöser Stabil-
schaumbeschichtungen (TUBICOAT MP) oder
Membran-Laminierungen (z. B. LAMETHAN LB
15-T) realisiert. Durch die Schaumlaminierung mit
LAMETHAN ADH-1 als Klebstoff kann – unter
Verwendung geeigneter Grundwaren und eines
Flammschutzmittels (APYROL FFD-E) – zusätz-
lich zum Wetterschutz ein guter Flammschutz
erzielt werden. Dies ist möglich, da das Flamm-
schutzmittel direkt in den Kleber eingearbeitet
und als mikroporöser Schaum ganzflächig appli-
ziert werden kann.
FLAMMHEMMENDE SCHUTZBEKLEIDUNG
Flammschutzbekleidung ist in verschiedenen
Industriezweigen ein großes Thema. Arbeiter in
der chemischen Industrie oder in verschiedenen
technischen oder elektrotechnischen Berufen
müssen flammhemmende Bekleidung tragen.
Baumwolle hat sich in diesem Bereich bewährt,
da die angenehmen physiologischen Trageeigen-
schaften der Naturfaser trotz flammhemmender
Ausrüstung erhalten bleiben. Der in speziellen
Ausrüstungsverfahren erzielte Flammschutz mit
APYROL CEP-ECO bleibt dabei auch nach 50
industriellen Maschinenwäschen bei hohen Tem-
peraturen bestehen.
CHEMIKALIEN- UND WASSERABWEISENDE
SCHUTZBEKLEIDUNG
Der Schutz gegen Wasser, Öl und Chemikalien
stellt eine ebenfalls wichtige Anforderung dar.
Gefragt sind waschpermanente Ausrüstungen,
die abweisende Eigenschaften gegen verschie-
dene Flüssigkeiten besitzen. Arbeitsbekleidung
wird mit speziellen Produkten auf Basis von
C6-Fluorcarbonen veredelt, wie z. B. TUBIGUARD
270-F. Während die Wasser- und Ölabweisung
zum Standard gehören, bietet der Chemikalien-
schutz eine gewisse Herausforderung, da hier
auch Schutz gegen konzentrierte, zum Teil oxidie-
rende Säuren und verschiedene Lösungsmittel
gefordert wird.

BREATHABLE
WEATHER-PROOF CLOTHING
For weather-proof clothing wearing comfort
and breathability are two important features.
Breathability for functional clothing generally
stands for waterproof with simultaneous water
vapour permeability, which means that water in
form of rain cannot enter the textile from outside,
whereas sweat in form of water vapour can be
transported away from the body. This moisture
transport is realised by means of microporous
stable foam coatings (TUBICOAT MP) or
membrane laminations (e. g. LAMETHAN
LB 15-T). Besides weather protection, a foam
lamination with LAMETHAN ADH-1 as adhesive
may additionally achieve good flame protection
with the use of suitable materials and a flame-
retardant (APYROL FFD-E). This is possible
because the flameretardant is directly introduced
into the adhesive, so that it can be applied on the
complete surface as microporous foam.
FLAME PROTECTION CLOTHING
Flame protection clothing is important for various
industries. Workers in the chemical industry or in
various technical or electro-technical professions
must wear flameretardant clothing. Cotton has
proven to be good in this field since the
comfortable physiological wearing properties
of this natural fibre remain despite the flame-
retardant finish. The flame protection achieved
with APYROL CEP-ECO in this special finishing
process remains even after 50 industrial machine
washing cycles at high temperatures.
CHEMICAL-REPELLENT AND
WATER-REPELLENT PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
The protection against water, oil and chemicals
is also an important demand made on textiles.
Wash fast finishing with repellent properties
against different liquids are required. Working
clothes are finished with special products based
on C6-fluorocarbons for example under the
name TUBIGUARD 270-F. While water and oil
repellency are standard demands, chemical
repellency is certainly a challenge because
protection against concentrated, partially
oxidising acids and various solvents is also
demanded.
