Introduction:

When Jesus gave his final and most detailed prediction of his trial,
suffering and death and resurrection. James and John the sons of Zebedee
approached Jesus and requested a privilege place of authority in seats at
Jesus’ right and left. But Jesus criticized them gently by saying (Mark 10:38,
NRSV) “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup
that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism, I am baptized with?”. But still the
brothers assured Jesus that they were able to do the things will Jesus do. The
other disciples got angry when they heard the request of James and John to
Jesus.

3. How did Jesus react to James and John’s request?
4. What is the meaning of Jesus statement in (Mark 10 44-45)?

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 24: 1 - 22

Introduction:
Saul had been hunting David in attempt to kill David from replacing him as
Israel’s king and accused David in rebellion. But David didn’t took revenge
when he had the opportunity.
In a workplace, we encountered toxic bosses. They think that they are
right all the time and will not accept any excuses but instead puts you down.
Blames you easily without hearing your side. Blames you easily even if is not
your fault.

1. Why Saul has been pursuing David?
2. What was the plan of David as he entered the cave while Saul is
resting?
3. Why didn’t David take Saul’s life when he had a chance?
4. If you are David and Saul is your boss how will you react like David
towards Saul in the cave?

Introduction:

When Ruth go with her mother-in-law Naomi to Israel. Ruth went to


the field of Boaz to glean and gather the sheaves behind the harvesters.
When Boaz noticed her and learned Ruth’s loyalty to her mother-in-law. He
provided opportunities for Ruth. In a workplace, as a supervisor tend to check
the background of their employees and check their performance task. As a
supervisor, must show appreciation towards their employees for the good
deeds by giving them rewards and some opportunities.

1. What good deed did Ruth that’s pleased Boaz?
2. How did Boaz reward Ruth?
3. As a supervisor, how will you show appreciation to your employees in their
job?

Introduction

In a workplace, with high competition we tend to destroy our


competitors by giving bad feedback and find faults to their supervisor in order
to block their promotion. Some companies tend to destroy each other by
emphasizing the negative reviews of their competitors to show that they are
better. Some people view their competitors as their adversaries or enemies.
In the story of Elisha from (2 Kings 6: 8-23), the king of Aram wanted to kill
Elisha

2. How did Elisha handled the army of King of Aram? What is his reason not
