At the end of 1 hour period, the students will be able to:
1. Categorize words to its part-whole relations;
2. Give and organize words into their word relationships;
3. Express oneself through determining words with part-whole realtions.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
The teacher will group the students
into 2 and then, they will be given
puzzle of analogy pictures to
arrange within 3 min.
2. Presentation
The teacher will present the part-
whole relationship of the words.
3. Discussion
Part-Whole Relationship – an
analogy that describes the
relationship between words.
Colon ( : ) – In word relationships,
colon is used as an abbreviation of
the phrase “is to”.

Examples:
Toe: foot (toe is to foot)
Leaf: plant (leaf is to plant)
Sole: shoe (sole is to shoe)
Wall: room (wall is to room)
Fin: fish (fin is to fish)
Wheel: bike (wheel is to bike)
Tire: car (tire is to car)
