1. Introduction
Process professionally your MP3 files with Mp3cutter.

Mp3cutter is a processing-tool to trim, cut out, merge MP3 files and rather. Do you have MP3 files
which you would trim? Not a problem for Mp3cutter! You can easily select any part of your MP3 file
and crop it.

Mp3cutter is characterized by a combination of its functions and an elegant Abelssoft-design and

furthermore a very intuitive operating.

So let’s start the first MP3 file process with Mp3cutter!

Feature 2017:

Mp3cutter now supports also other formats like AAC, WMA, OGG, WMV etc. You are now able to
make your favorite mix from songs of different formats!

Features 2018:

 Mp3Cutter enables you to adjust the volume level of the output file as you wish (from quiet to
loud).

 Mp3Cutter includes now an audio converter which makes it possible to transform the output
file to multiple formats (i.e. MP3, OGG, WMA, ….).

 You can open supported audio files very easily with just a mouse click1 and save a lot of steps.

2. Listing of Mp3cutter functions

 Add MP3 files to the program interface.
 Visualize added MP3 file as a wave form.
 Play added MP3 file with an internal media player
 Click anywhere in the wave form and let the player play without forwarding or backwarding.
 Delete added MP3 file from the program interface.
 Select an sector from the wave form with mouse or exactly with the time editor and:
 Trim selected sector

3. Advantages of Mp3cutter
If you have already used another processing tool you will immediately realize the difference to our
Mp3cutter.

With Mp3cutter you don’t need to download any extra codecs or install them, because Mp3cutter
uses existing windows codecs7!

According to its simple handling and its exclusive design you will quickly understand how Mp3cutter
works. While other tools provide their functions in many combo boxes and menus, Mp3cutter
encapsulates its functions in intelligible pictures and buttons.

Mp3cutter creates after any operation a new file and saves the results to it. Therefor you don’t need
to care about integrity or safety of your original file! You can immediately see how Mp3cutter works,
because it lets you see the result as a wave form after any operation.

As a program highlight you can merge up to 10 MP3 files to one file8. Thereby you can choose which
file have to come first and set a transition between the merged files or not.

As a further highlight in the 2015 version we have provided a function which enables selecting
specific ranges from the waveform and move it to any position or replicate it at one or several
positions within the waveform (i.e. to create refrains). Furthermore we have equipped the
Mp3cutter with a backward navigation button, which enables to get previous processing steps.

4. Handling of Mp3cutter
4.1. Installation
The installation of Mp3cutter is very simple. Commonly like other windows applications you have to
double click the obtained Mp3cutter.exe and start the installation process. You could let the setup
program creating you a desktop icon and also a quick start icon in the taskbar. After closing the setup
program you can immediately use Mp3cutter.

4.2. Overview of the user interface of Mp3cutter

4.3. Add MP3 file

The user could add MP3 file through following methods:

 Clicking the „Open a file to edit“-button: Through a mouse click on this button you will get
the classic windows file dialog and you can simply choose your MP3 file.
 Through the control button: You will get the same dialog while clicking the button left on top
into the blue column (this button has the same icon).

4.4. Play MP3 file

As one of the highlights of Mp3cutter you could play your added MP3 file internally without any
other media player software. Therefore you can use the control buttons left into the blue column
(play, pause and stop). You can also place the play cursor at any position within the wave form and
let’s play!

4.5. Cut out an sector from MP3 file

With this function you will be able to select a sector from the wave form, cut it out and view it as a
new wave form on the program interface. Mp3cutter will save the resulting data in a new file. To do
this please select an arbitrary sector with the mouse or exactly with the 2 time editors “Start time”
and “End time”. Afterwards you would like to click on the “Cut out” button to process.

4.6. Trim an sector from an MP3 file

Maybe you have some MP3 files from which you want to remove some parts (e.g. noise sounds). To
manage this please select a sector like in 4.5 and click the “Trim” button. The selected part will be
removed and the result will be saved to a new file.

4.7. Fade in an sector in an MP3 file

A lot of sound records or songs starts suddenly with a high volume level. This could be regrettably
unpleasant for some listener. With this function of Mp3cutter you can fade in specific parts from
your MP3 file so that the sound track will start from an absolute stillness and increase gradually until
the normal volume level. The button “Fade in” is especially dedicated for this function.

Caution!
Please use this function only for the begin of a sound track!

4.8. Fade out an sector in an MP3 file

Against to the fade in Mp3cutter decrease the volume over the selected sector in this function from
the normal level to the absolute stillness. You can use this function by selecting a sector from the
wave form and clicking the “Fade out” button.

Caution!
Please use this function only at the end of a sound track!

4.9. Move an sector within an MP3 file

Mp3cutter enables with this function moving specific ranges (after selecting) to any position. To do
this you have to operate as follows:

 Firstly you have to select a range from the waveform with the mouse.
 Click with the right mouse button within selected range to show the context menu.
 Click then on the “Copy range” item to copy it into the clipboard.
 (Otherwise you can click the “Copy” button).
 Now you can choose the position you want to move the selected range to with a simple
mouse click (this position may not be part of the selected range!).
 Click on the “Move” button to operate the function.
 Mp3cutter creates then a new file and updates the waveform.

You can use this function only one time! If you wish to use it several times then you should select
every time a range which you want to move and the button will be again enabled.

4.10. Replicate an sector within an MP3 file

Mp3cutter enables with this function replicating specific ranges (i.e. in order to create refrains) at
one or several positions. To do this you have to operate as follows:

 Firstly you have to select a range from the waveform with the mouse.
 Click with the right mouse button within selected range to show the context menu.
 Click then on the “Copy range” item to copy it into the clipboard.
 (Otherwise you can click the “Copy” button).
 Now you can choose the position at which you want to replicate the selected range with a
simple mouse click (this position may not be part of the selected range!).
 Click on the “Replicate” button to operate the function.
 Mp3cutter creates then a new file and updates the waveform.

You can use this function more than one time while copied range is still in the clipboard until you
remove the MP3 file from the program view or you click the Back button.

4.11. Get previous processing steps

In the 2015 version we are coming more towards our customers and we have integrated a backward
navigation button into the Mp3cutter. This button allows to get previous processing steps one by one
until initial state. By this way you don’t have to add the same MP3 file again in order to make some
changes or to correct some processes.

Caution!
This function may not work if the checkbox “Flush output folder after export” is activated! Because
the processing history will be deleted after exporting a file, the Mp3cutter couldn’t find any previous
created data! To avoid this please deactivate the a.m. checkbox in the settings window.

4.12. Export resulting MP3 file

Mp3cutter works on temporary files, so you can export the momentary viewed MP3 file to any folder
do you want. To do this please click the “Export” button and choose from the appearing dialog your
target folder. The same result you can achieve by clicking the control button left in the blue column
with the same icon.

4.13. Merge MP3 files (2016 feature)

Using this feature you can merge up to 10 MP3 files to one file. Please click the “Merge files” button
after starting program and choose your MP3 files9 from the appearing window then click “Merge”.

4.14. Remove MP3 file from program interface

When you want to remove viewed MP3 file from the program you may click on the close button right
on the top10 and the start view will appear again.

4.15. Change settings

 Switch language: Do you want to handle Mp3cutter in another language? Then go to
„Settings“-menu and then click „General“-menu item. You will see following window:

From the presented languages you can select one and all the terms on the user interface will be
switched to this language.

 Search updates: You can search updates manually by clicking the „Search updates
manually“-link or automatically by setting the „Look for updates automatically“-checkbox.
You will always get the actual updates if you are online.

 Show log file: this file is dedicated for your support team to detect possible bugs or errors.
 Change the destination folder: To simply find your processed data Mp3cutter will by default
store them in the default Windows “my music” folder (such as C:/user/your username/my
music). If you want to store your processed data into a customized folder you can do it by
clicking the blue button near the program folder path and then selecting a destination folder.
You may then restart the program in order to validate this changes.
 Adjust sample rate automatically when importing: maybe you have some MP3 files with a
sample rate which is incompatible with the Mp3Cutter engine. When trying to import such
kind of files to the Mp3Cutter it may refuses to show it. In this case you can simply activate
this checkbox to allow Mp3Cutter to adjust the sample rate (the original file will keep the
original sample rate) and enable a further processing with this tool.

4.16. Invoke help

You will obtain this help-document as a PDF when clicking the button with the cog wheel icon on the
top.

4.17. Close Mp3cutter

You can close Mp3cutter directly by clicking the cross-button on the top-right corner of the main
window.

5. Uninstall Mp3cutter
Mp3cutter is simply uninstallable like its installation.

You can process this by two ways:

 Running from the created installation-folder (you can find it under: C:/program
files/Mp3cutter/) the application names „unins000.exe“ and uninstall the program step by
step.
 Calling the control panel from Windows then selecting Mp3cutter and uninstalling it.

6. Legal disclaimer
In front of the release we have tested Mp3cutter on several computers and operating systems and
we have performed extensive internal Beta tests. There are no incompatibilities known to us. If you
have discovered some bugs then please write us. Therewith we will update and adjust our program.

Although any bugs are known to us, we could not ensure you that our software works 100% bug free
or is compatible to all prospectively operating systems. Therefor we don’t assume any liability for
the function or propriety of this program and this manual. Furthermore we are not responsible for
any damages caused by this program.
