2. Costs
The following prices apply for our services:

None of the prices listed include statutory Taxes or travel costs; all of
these prices are settled on a service-by-service basis.

3. Service description

To ensure that your certification is successful, we offer you the project phases listed below:

3.1 Optional project meeting

The project meeting enables you to meet with your auditor onsite to discuss the functional
and methodical organization of the certification process. A document review is not carried out and
a report is not issued.

3.2 Optional preliminary audit

In the preliminary audit, the auditor assesses the extent to which you have implemented the
requirements of the standard. In addition to a document review, the preliminary audit involves a site
inspection followed by a report commenting on the general eligibility of the Management system
(QMS / EMS as applicable) for certification.

3.3 Certification audit (Stages 1 and 2)

The certification audit is carried out in two stages.
Before the certification audit is performed, please ensure that:
- All areas within the company to be certified have been audited by means of internal audits
within the past three months in accordance with the standard(s) to be certified.
- Any nonconformity determined by the internal audits has been rectified.
- A management review has been carried out.

3.3.1 Stage 1
During stage 1 of the certification audit, your management system documentation
(management handbook/ Quality Manual, procedures and working instructions, etc.) is reviewed to
establish whether you meet the main prerequisites for performing stage 2 of the audit. Basic
checks are also carried out on the organizational and process structure at the company and other
points listed under Para: 3.3.2, as well as checks to validate the current company information listed
in the order details (number of employees, scope of application etc.).

Stage 1 of the audit is usually carried out onsite up to a maximum of 90 days in advance of
stage 2. In individual cases and under certain conditions, it is possible to forgo the site visit during
stage 1 or to carry out audit stage 2 immediately following stage 1. For further details, please
speak to your contact person at TÜV Rheinland (India) Pvt Ltd.

3.3.2 Stage 2
Stage 2 of the certification audit is carried out onsite at your company and aims to verify the
implementation and effectiveness of the management system in use.
This is done through meetings with individual employees at your company that have already
been specified in the audit plan.The auditors also conduct a site inspection and examine the
relevant plant and equipment in addition to records and documents.
An audit report is created for stage 2 of the certification audit, which includes the results of
the inspection. If the overall assessment ispositive, the auditors will recommend that a certificate
be awarded by the certification body at TÜV Rheinland (India) Pvt Ltd.

3.4 Issue and use of the certificate

A certificate is issued if the result of the certification audit is positive.
We will issue the original certificate in A3 / A4 size.
The terms and conditions on the use of certificate and the logo will be sent along with the
certificate and logo.

3.5 Certificate renewal

Surveillance audits must be performed well within the time lines (which will be explained and
intimated to you once the initial certification is completed) every year in order for the certificate to
remain valid.
The objective of the surveillance audits is to review the integrity and further development of
the existing management system. As is the case with the certification audit, the surveillance audits
include meetings with individual employees as part of a site inspection. The result of each
surveillance audit is recorded in an audit report.

4. Additional services

You can use the TÜV Rheinland signet containing your individual ID as a print template or
file, both online and offline (see section 6).
Communicate your added value to your customers and partners: on stickers, company
paper, brochures, the Internet, or when you simply want to fly your colors as a TÜV Rheinland
certified company.

5. Quality and performance of our services

The work commissioned by you is carried out in line with our self-imposed obligation to
provide premium-quality services.

The certification is carried out by auditors who have been granted the relevant authorizations
by the TÜV Rheinland Group based on their proven experience and expertise.
The certification procedure can usually start around six weeks after the order has been
placed. Once you have accepted our offer, we will consult with you to schedule the upstream
project phases promptly.

6. Certipedia: Our TÜV Rheinland signet - your added value

Following successful certification, your company is automatically integrated into our

certipedia service. This service is available to all online users via the web and represents great
value online advertising for you, as well as providing an ideal information service for your
customers and any business partners who are interested in your services and products. Potential
customers can check that your certification is up to date. To this end, you receive your own, unique
certipedia ID. This service is free of charge.

At extra cost, you can also optimize the way your company is represented in our certipedia
service. To do this, send us a brief profile of your company and services, a picture or your
company logo, for example. On request, we can also add a direct link to your homepage.

7. Other Terms and Conditions

Manpower
Changes in total number of employees might result in necessary amendments to quoted
man-day and charged fees as per the ISO 17021 / IEC Guide 62 requirement and/or any other
applicable standards and their appendices. It is imperative that the actual number of employees is
correctly stated for the necessary amendment to man-days count and pricing as audits else the
certificate will become invalid otherwise.

The above stipulation applies in the case of surveillance audits as well. A corresponding
increase or decrease in employee count during surveillance audits will result in a re-computation of
surveillance audit man-days and according charges different from the price quoted in the quotation
submitted by TÜV Rheinland before the Initial Certification.

Failure to stipulate the accurate employee numbers during contract signing or a lack of
information of any changes thereafter may constitute fraud subject to necessary action.

Travel & Accommodation

The client shall provide or be charged for travel and accommodation at actuals.
Travel and Living expenses shall be borne by the client, unless otherwise agreed upon. In
the case of overseas assignments, the visa and related charges will also be charged at actuals.
Modes of transportation usually include taxis and 2nd class A/C (sleeper) trains. For journeys
longer than 6 hours economy air travel might be chosen. Reasonable business hotels will be
selected for accommodation.

Payments
Prices quoted for the Initial Certification activities are valid within ninety days from the date of
this quotation.
An advance payment of of the contract value for the Registration Fee is due upon signing of
the quotation and deductible from the total cost of Initial Certification. The Registration Fee will
ensure a further processing of the certification project. In the event that the client decides not to
contract TÜV Rheinland services after signing the Quotation, this amount is non-refundable.
Proforma Invoices will be issued for requesting advance payments to enable us offer our

services and the advances so received shall be adjusted against the final invoice. Advance
payments received are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Invoices will be issued on phase-wise bases for any on-/off-site activities and shall be settled
latest upon commencement of the according phase. A failure to pay will result in a delay of any
further activities until payment(s) against prior invoices have been received and are settled in full.
A final invoice will be raised after each phase of activity. This invoice will include any
additional activities if specified in the quotation, travel and accommodation charges as well as the
certificate fees.

Payment Terms:
Within 14 days after receipt of the invoice. Delayed payments will attract an interest fee of
18% p.a.

All Payments shall be made through Demand Draft/Pay Orders payable at Bangalore or by
At Par Payable Cheques in favour of TÜV Rheinland (India) Pvt. Ltd. at Bangalore.
Taxes will be charged as and when applicable at actuals.
Bank Charges, if any, shall be borne by the Client.
In case of failure to pay the invoices despite reminders, the Company shall reserve the right
to proceed legally against the client, including availing the services of third party recovery
companies and the costs incurred thereon, shall exclusively be borne by the client.
The Company shall also reserve the right to withdraw or suspend all or any of its services to
the client, till such time that the invoice/s are settled.
Certificate(s) will only be processed and sent to the client upon receipt of full payment of all
outstanding charges.

Others :
Usage of Logo, Corporate Name shall be used only under express approval by TUV.
All copyrights, trademarks, etc. shall remain vested with TUV
All reports, documents, etc. forming a part of our assessment activities shall remain the
property of TÜV Rheinland (India) Pvt Ltd.
All disputes are subject to jurisdictions of the courts in Bangalore.

8. Miscellaneous
The contract for performing the certification becomes effective once the enclosed "Certification
contract" form has been signed by both parties.
This Offer is valid for three months from the date of submission.
The quotation is based on the inputs provided by the client. If however, during the course of
providing the service it is found that the information furnished by the client is not in agreement with
what was provided earlier, the Company reserves the right to alter and amend the quotation and
send the final invoice accordingly, which shall be binding on the client.
The company reserves the right to amend the quotation upwards, in the event of any
unforeseen expenses, including statutory requirements, which is beyond our control.
The currently valid Terms and Conditions of Certification(TUV Rheinland India Pvt. Ltd.) and
General Terms and Conditions of Business(TUV Rheinland India Pvt. Ltd.) as indicated below shall
apply.
