Current & Voltage

• Current: Flow of charged particles. The unit representing the magnitude of current is A (amperes).

• Voltage: Difference in potential (potential energy for charge).

The unit representing the magnitude of the voltage is V (volts).

• Resistance: The degree of disturbance of current flow.

The unit representing the magnitude of resistance is Ω (ohms).

• Relations: The magnitude of the current flowing in the electrical circuit is proportional to the magnitude of the
applied voltage, and is inversely proportional to the resistance.
