    This Kaizen report describes improvements made to the billet cutting process at a hot mill production facility. Specifically, racks were color-coded according to grade to prevent mixing of different grade materials. Previously, billets were marked with color but stored in any rack. Now, specific racks matched to the grade color codes ensure billets are kept properly separated by grade. This reduces the chance of material mix-ups and eliminates unnecessary individual bundle coloring. The changes were implemented on April 19, 2019.
