What is Industry Automation? 


 

I​ndustry  automation  is  the  replacement  with 


computers  and  machines  to  that  of  human  thinking.  It 
is  also  the  use  of  technologies  and  automatic  control 
devices  that  results  in  the  automatic  operation  and 
control  of  industrial  processes  without  any  human 
intervention  achieving  superior  performance  than 
manual control.

Objective: 

The main objective of this ​WORKSHOP is to make the engineering


students acquainted with the concept as well as practical knowledge of the
Industrial Automation and latest technologies being used to achieve
industrial automation. The idea of organizing this workshop is to inculcate
the basic fundamentals of automation in the students and provide them with
the platform to work on, in the future.

The Most Used Term behind Automation is P
CONTROLLER (PLC) along with certain other necessary ingredients like
sensors, motors, actuators, valves, conveyors, computers and many more.
You would learn all this by the end of the workshop!

Date of Workshop:​ ​June 15, 2020 

Fee: Rs.1500/- (Incl. of Tax) 

Duration: ​Three day workshop, seven hour session a day. Don’t 


worry breaks are there!!  

Eligibility: T
​ his workshop is best suited for students who are 
interested in knowing about the fundamentals of industrial 
automation. All Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, control engineering 
students can join this workshop. 

Certification: ​Certificate for all students who finish this 


workshop will be given. Along with that a small competition 
will be organised among the interested students and the 
winner will be awarded a “CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE” 
and a cash prize of Rs.1500/- will be given.
