Q: You are Dr. Rhoda Gatchalian, am I right?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Are you a medical and forensic doctor?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Was your pre-medical course Bachelor of Science in Medical

Technology?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Did you take your medical course at Saint Louis University?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: And you graduated in the year 1999?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Are you currently working as the medico-legal officer and the police
inspector of the PNP’s Southern Police District Crime Laboratory Office at
Baguio City?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Have you been practicing your profession as a medico-legal officer in

the PNP’s Regional Crime laboratory for 15 year?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: And as a medico-legal officer, you conduct external and internal

physical examinations of individuals?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: Do you conduct autopsies on cadavers?

A: Yes ma’am, inside the crime laboratory.

Q: Dr. Gatchalian, were you in Baguio Memorial Chapels at 8:20 in the

evening of January 22, 2017?

A: Yes, I am.

Q: What are you doing there?

A: I was asked to examine Emmanuel Silaroy’s body ma’am.

Q: Is it Police Chief Inspector Dennis C. Sarmiento who requested you to

examine the body of the victim Emmanuel Silaroy.

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: So you examined the body of Emmanuel Silaroy at Baguio Memorial

Chapels?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: In other words, you conducted an autopsy on the cadaver of Emmanuel

Silaroy at Baguio Memorial Chapels?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: In the direct examination, you stated that you conduct autopsy on

cadavers inside the crime laboratory, correct?

A: Yes ma’am.

Q: So are you saying that you conducted the autopsy in the crime
laboratory yet what shows in the autopsy report is that the autopsy was
conducted at Baguio Memorial Chapel?

A: No ma’am. I usually conduct autopsies on cadavers inside the crime

laboratory when it presented in the crime laboratory, but I also conduct
autopsies in any other place than the crime laboratory when I was
requested to do so. In this case I was asked to conduct the autopsy in
Baguio Memorial Chapel so I examined the body of Emmanuel Silaroy in
Baguio Memorial Chapel.
