Assignment1
Assignment 1 explores the tectonic assemblies of pixel and grid. This process is the developable form that all images
follow regardless of their parameters. Pixels are everywhere. We sometimes forget that pixels are the reason why we
see images on digital display monitors. This exercise explores that reality by investigating the natural order of a pixel
and its relationship to the grid.

The idea is based on the simple order of orthonogonal originality of grids and pxiels. The grid forms the parametric
orders where the void spaces become the active cubonic device that illustrates the next phases of visualization through
color and texture. The edge definition from this experiment from overlay orders to displacement and transformation
will attain a spatial reality from one relationship to another as images get more complex.

Examine:
Note the properties of the given grid dimensions. You will be constructing two variant grids of either 10x25 or 25x25.
This will set up the base required for manipulation once overlayed in their respective order. Then certain qualities of
the “voids” (pixels) will be filled in using either a color paintbrush and/or transparent tool to give it’s neighboring degree
a relationship.

Procedure:
You will be creating two different images featuring different scenarios.
1. Think of a visual activity or behavior you want to explore. For example, music and it’s noties has a degree of points
and relationship to each movment played. The notes on the staff can be extracted and examined for this purpose.

Procedure:
2. In Photoshop: Construct a 10x25 and/or 25x25 grid matrix or use the .JPG image provided. Do this for layer 1.

3. Then fill in a few of the white voided spaces, this will be a representation of the pixel.
Do not fill in everyone but selective pick a few that either resembles a pattern or an idea
you develop from music or a physical movement.

You will be creating two different images featuring different scenarios.

Procedure:
4. Then copy that pixel digital artwork and the grid you used and paste it to a new layer. Alter
this grid+pixel work in a variety assembly that could resemble the movement of your earlier
study or something else that has a direct relationship to its predecessor.

5. Save your PHOTOSHOP file in .PSD and .JPG format at a 11x17 layout at 300 dpi.
(save file as: 01.01_FirstNameInitialLastName_pixelGrid.psd
01.02_FirstNameInitialLastName_pixelGrid.psd
01.03_FirstNameInitialLastName_pixelGrid.jpg,
01.04_FirstNameInitialLastName_pixelGrid.jpg,

6. Print out your work using a high quality printer (HP 7760) and have it pinned up ready for class to start.
