CELEBRATIONS IN USA
It is a festival of Christian origin that is celebrated annually on
February 14 as a commemoration of the good works carried out by
Saint Valentine of Rome, which are related to the universal concept of
love and affection.
VALENTINE´S DAY

To have a good year in love, those who are in a relationship should


wake up their loved one with a kiss on the morning of February 14.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

This day marks the signing of the Declaration of


Independence in 1776 in which the country proclaimed its
formal separation from the British Empire. It is usually
celebrated with many outdoor activities such as parades,
baseball games, and fireworks displays.

People dressed as "Uncle Sam," a folkloric figure who


personifies the United States, is common at 4th of July
celebrations.

HALLOWEEN

It is a modern celebration resulting from the syncretism


originated by the Christianization of the end of summer
festival of Celtic origin called Samhain.
BLACK CATS

Old spinsters who lived surrounded by cats were commonly


accused of witchcraft and it was believed that their cats were
animals that the devil himself had given them as pets, hence
the bad reputation of black cats and the superstitions around
them.

Thanksgiving Day is one of the most important celebrations in the


United States and is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday
of November with the intention of giving thanks for what we
have.

It is traditional for the President of the Government to pardon
