1. Describe your first interaction with the bible- when? Where? Who introduced you, etc. (5
points)

I was brought up in an SDA family so Christianity was a major virtue and I had to learn about the bible
while as young as four years old through my mother. My mother told me the most basic and enticing
stories of the word right at my home and so I became indulged in the Christian world so much that
evertytime I was taken to church I was ‘the top student’.

2. Which characters in the bible do you admire and why? (5 points)

 Solomon. In contrast to what majority of people who ask for when such a chance that he was
given he chose to be given wisdom. Most if asked to be given anything in the world they would
quickly go for some earthly need or pleasure. He is also the author of the great proverbs that I
find inspiring.

 Jesus. His perseverance as portrayed in the bible was outstanding. First off, he was sinless and to
just co-exist in this world of so many temptations that seems almost impossible. He persevered
through the pain the cross of being nailed and tortured despite having the power to make it all
just go away.

 David. Brought up from being a shepherd to great and conquering king, he proved to be right for
the crown i.e. he destroyed the philistines who had brought much misery in Israel. It is
admirable how he courageously stood up against the giant goliath and wisely defeated him one
on one battle.

 Elijah. He openly denounced the king and queen, most people would not dare stand up against
high authority in believe that God would act as their partner. It is interesting that he qualified to
the eyes of God to actually be taken to heaven while alive.

 Moses. He held on the believe that he truly was leading the Jews to a promised land by God. He
put all his trust in throughout all the journey despite the show of dry attention of God helping
them in the traveling circumstances or even there being a promised land.

3. Which books have you read? (2 points)

 Revelations
 Proverbs

4. Generally, what excites you most in the bible? (5 points)

The book revelations. This is the book with the utmost controversy. Full of prophesy about how the
world will come to an end written in symbolism, there is the story about the four horsemen which is
almost scary, about how Jesus will come on earth unannounced, about the mark of the beast which all
are presumed to be really soon about to happen or already happening in this time.

5. What don’t you like about the bible? (3 points)

That the bible isn’t exactly clear on how God should be worshipped i.e. his desired religion or how and
when we should pray or anything much about God himself.

6. What would you like to understand better in the bible? E.g. questions you have not found
answers to. (5 points)
 Why there are two accounts of creation in genesis
 Why god doesn’t just stop Satan himself from inflicting evil in the world since he is all-powerful
 What happened to the garden of Eden?
 If the forbidden fruit was actually literally an apple or had a metaphoric meaning
 About how man was created in the image of God. Does it imply of how god actually looks like?
