The Express Brace

Inman Aligners, also known as “the express
brace”, are a great way to improve your
cosmetic appearance as they safely and
quickly straighten mild to moderate upper and
lower front teeth issues. In most cases the
treatment plan can be completed in as little as
6 – 18 weeks using only one removable
appliance. This dental brace option is ideal for those with only front teeth problems as well as
those considering additional cosmetic procedures afterward, such as bonding or veneers.

TREATMENT PROCESS
If you and your dentist have decided that Inman Aligners are the best
option for you, your dentist will take and send your dental impressions to
the lab where custom made aligners will be made up for you. Once
received, you’ll need to wear it for at least 16 – 20 hours a day for
optimal results. Return to your dentist every 2 – 3 weeks for adjustment
visits. It will take about 6 – 18 weeks till your teeth are beautifully
straight!

It might be uncomfortable for the first few days but thereafter you will
become used to wearing them. Do not be too concerned if your speech
is affected as your mouth will take about a week or two to become used to your new Inman
Aligners and then you’ll be speaking as normally as you did before your treatment started.

HOW IT WORKS
The Inman Aligner has Nickel Titanium coil springs that power two aligner
bows that gently oppose each other, guiding the teeth into their new position.
These gentle forces are active over a very large range of movement. The
image shows the squeeze effect of the two aligner bows on the front teeth.
The inner bow pushes forwards, while the outer bow pulls back on the front
teeth

COMPLIANCE
Compliance means that you, as the patient, are required to adhere to a set of guidelines in order
to optimally enhance your chosen treatment path. In this case, you will need to wear your Inman
Aligners for the minimum time period of 20 hours every day to be able to achieve straight teeth in
a shorter time period! Any less and the results will take longer.

RETAINERS
Your teeth are always moving and if left to its own devices, will gradually
move out of place again. This is known as orthodontic relapse. In order
to avoid this, you will need to get an Inman Aligner retainer to ensure
your teeth stay in place. This can be done with an Essix retainer or
lingually bonded retainer.

EATING & CLEANING

When you need to eat or drink something, simply remove your Inman
Aligner. It is important that you always clean your teeth and aligner after
eating or drinking before you put it on again. Feel free to remove them
for special occasions such as taking a photograph or attending a
meeting, but only for a few hours at a time.

TEETH PROBLEMS
Inman Aligners treats mild to moderate front teeth problems such as crossbites, crowding,
protrusions and rotations of the upper and lower jaw. As this treatment plan is fast, it is really is a
great way to address your teeth issues if it is only your front teeth that you are concerned about.
Leaving your teeth as is, whether it be overcrowding or uneven teeth, is actually not good for its
health as there are areas of the teeth that will experience more wear, exposing the dentine.
Straightening your teeth early on will avoid more expensive corrective treatment later on.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY
As the Inman Aligner process focuses solely on the front teeth and is
