How I define Monitoring: How I define Evaluation:

Monitoring is the systematic process of Evaluation is a process that critically
collecting, analyzing and using examines a program. It involves collecting
information to track a programme's and analyzing information about a program's
progress toward reaching its objectives activities, characteristics, and outcomes. Its
and to guide management decisions. purpose is to make judgments about a
program, to improve its effectiveness, and/or
to inform programming decisions
The relationship or link between Monitoring and Evaluation is:

Monitoring is checking progress against plans. ... Evaluations appraise data and
information that inform strategic decisions, thus improving the project or
programme in the future.

Personal Reflection We aim to continue and sustain the delivery of quality,

accessible, relevant and liberating basic education services
to our learners in the midst of COVID-19 emergency via
flexible learning options. However, the security of children
and educational facilities is particularly significant.
Precautions are necessary to prevent the potential spread
of COVID-19 in school settings; however, care must also
be taken to avoid stigmatizing learners and staff who may
have been exposed to the virus. It is important to
remember that COVID-19 does not differentiate between
borders, ethnicities, disability status, age or gender. The
pandemic caused by the current health crisis - CoViD19
has affected all aspects of life including education. The
teaching and learning approaches that we used to do in the
delivery of education must cope up and level up in order to
reach and still deliver quality basic education to the
learners during this trying times of the so-called “NEW
NORMAL.” We need to embrace the New Normal and with
the help and guidelines of LDMs nothing is impossible.
