Sub: Revision of NTPC Medical Attendance & Treatment (MAT) Rules - Reg"

1.0 NTPC tvledical Attendance & Treatment (MAT) Rules have been revised vide CHRC No.
877 12020 dated 02.01 .2020.

2.0 As per the Clause 10.3 of the revised NTPC MAT Rules, the Employees are required to
bear 1o/o of cost in case of IPD treatment.

3.0 The modalities for the same have been worked out and the following has been decided

!n case of IPD treatment at Notified/ Empanelled 1% of the entitled/ admissible amount

Hospitals using NTPC Health Card
ln following cases where 100% upfront payment
is made by the Employee directly to the Hospital:
i. ln case of IPD treatment at Notified/ Empanelled
Hospitals without using Health Card (in
exceptional circumstances)
ii. ln case of IPD treatment at other than Notified/
Empanelled Hospitals (applicable for active
employees only)
.(as per NTPC MAT Rules) shall be paid
by the Employees directly to the
Hospital at the time of discharge.
99% of the entitled/ admissible amount
only (as per NTPC MAT Rules) shall be
reimbursed to the Employees by NTPC
while processing the medical claims
raised by them.

4.0 The above provision shall be applicable for all PRMS beneficiaries also under NTPC
Medical and Emergency Needs Mitigation Scheme for Separated Employees (CHRC No.
797) / Contributory Schemes for Medical Facilities to Employees & spouse on
superannuation (CHRC No. 708) lto the spouse on death of the employee during service
(CHRC No. 709) and their subsequent amendments.

5.0 The above provisions shall be applicable for IPD cases admitted on or after 01 .02.2020
