TFL BUS SAFETY

Executive Summary : London is the capital city of the UK which I come to study for a master
degree. I come to my consideration as I use a lot of public transportation while traveling in
London. The safety is the most important factor to concern while using the service therefor, to
find the insight of the bus safety behind the data will help the stakeholders to identify and reduce
the incident of their service.

Why : The purpose of the story is to narrate which factor relate to the incident then provide the
solution to prevent it according to improve the service quality in the poor area factors.

Who. You will need to identify who your final presentation is intended for: stakeholders,
audience, subject-matter experts, a combo, or other? You will create a persona document for
each "Who" you have identified and the goals of each user (see more information below on
creating a persona).

- Stakeholders: The stakeholders is the head of safety department in TFL service which
ask us to identify the factor that relate to the incident on the service to purpose the way to
improve and reduce the incident to the board of TFL.
- Audience: The audience would be the board of TFL which want to know how to improve
the service quality.
- Subject-Matter Experts: Would be some of the driver that experience in accident. Some
users that face an accident. And safety officer who know about the safety design.

What :

- Data Source = I use the data that obtain form #Makeovermonday project from data.world
which can be public online
- Data quality = I have opened the data in excel and confirmed that there are no null fields.
- Data Timelines = Since there are the data from 2015 – 2018 while the 2018 data is not
complete so we will focus and filter using the data from 2015 – 2017 to analyze

How :

- Format = The story using in Tableau mainly exploratory with interactive visualization.
Colors and size would be apply to the visualization to fit with the best design practice.

Challenges : The data may not have many field to analyst however, the mission is mainly to
exploratory and would try the best to give some information that relevant and suggest the way to
improve and highlight some important information base on the data that we have.

- To know the factor that relate to the incident and suggest the solution which can help
company to improve the service quality and safety factor such as the top 3 of each
areas that cause the incident. And to get some insight that relate to the safety.

- Users will view and interact with the visualization when searching and explore in the
visualization providing with action to help customers when they need to see some
specific data providing on Tableau Public.
