7, LESSON C PROJECT
Objective: To make offers and ask for permission.

Instructions:

Work in groups of four and record a 5-minute video of a conversation in which you can make
offers, requests, ask for permission, and respond to them. You need to choose ONE situation
and must use the useful language in the chart below as well as the grammar and vocabulary you
study in the unit.

If you need additional help, you can watch the video available on your Empower Platform, lesson
C https://www.cambridgelms.org-resources.

OPTIONAL: This project outcome (video or link) will be uploaded to the Moodle Platform in
the corresponding task. Make sure the video or the link works.

MANDATORY: You can send the video or link to the WhatsApp class group.

Situation 1:

You are visiting your best friend in his/her home. During the conversation the
visitors ask permission to: use different things like the internet, have a shower, wash
some clothes, etc. and ask follow up questions. Wrap up the conversation properly.

Situation 2:

You are visiting your boyfriends’ or girlfriends house to meet your future parents in
law. A small meeting has been prepared. The guests make offers and visitors have
some requests and ask for permission. Remember to use the expressions to
imagining people’s feelings and sound polite.
