1. Outline
We would like to inform you of applicable Windows HotFix and pattern files of AntiVirus Software, ”Symantec

3. Applying procedure
- Apply the software in the following order.

1) Install AntiVirus Software on FCRView.
2) Apply the newest pattern files of the software to FCRView.
3) Perform Windows Update.
4) Run Full Scan on FCRView by using the software.
5) Check the operation by referring to “5.3 Checking Every Step from the Inputting of Images to the
Saving of Images onto DVD” of IN chapter in the Service Manual.
NOTE
- Make sure to run Full Scan on FCRView by using AntiVirus Software when connecting to the Internet.
- This ECN does not affirm that you can connect to the Internet constantly. Please do not connect to the
Internet except when downloading the newest pattern files or performing Windows Update.
- This ECN is for better security. Do not apply the Windows Update package that is for adding new
function(s).
- Because of the software activation, each processing may possibly be slower than before installing
AntiVirus software. Please provide users of this information before installing AntiVirus software.

The caution below is regarding to Windows Vista SP1 US Edition.
At this point (March, 2011), the following packages should not be applied to FCRView.
SQL Server 2005 Express edition Service Pack3
After AntiVirus Software is installed on FCRView, its operation speed may be slower than before the
installation. Inform your customer of this possibility before installing the software.

Installation Procedure for Windows 7 Service Pack1
Outline
This document announces that the verification of Windows 7 Service Pack1(hereafter SP1)
and its installation process has been completed. The installation of SP1 is approved.
*Unless specified, CR-VW 674/CR-IR 355V CL/CR-IR 391CL/CR-IR 391V CL are

described as FCRView to represent in this document.
Unless the following procedure is conducted properly, some update programs may fail in their
installation.
Applicable Software Environment

・FCRView V2.0(B) or later
Procedure
1 Activate [Window update] to ensure that “Windows 7 Service Pack1” is unchecked
in [Select the updates you want to install], and then click “OK”

2, The screen returns to [Windows update] window. Click “Install updates”
3 The screen below is displayed when the installation has been completed. Click
“Review important updates”

4, [Windows update] is displayed. Click “1 important update is available”
5, Ensure that “Windows 7 Service Pack1” is now checked, and then click “OK”
6, The screen below is displayed. Click “Install updates”

7, The screen below is displayed when the installation has been completed
successfully. Click “Restart now” to restart the PC.
8, The screen below is displayed when the PC is restarted. Click “Close”.

9, Ensure that the updating programs have been installed successfully.
Note:
Be sure to follow the procedure because the update installation may be failed if the other
update programs are selected along with the SP1 in the procedure 1 above.

Installation Procedure for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista
Outline
This document announces that the verification of Internet Explorer 8 (hereafter IE8) and its
installation process has been completed. The installation of IE8 is approved.
*Unless specified, CR-VW 674/CR-IR 355V CL/CR-IR 391CL/CR-IR 391V CL are

described as FCRView to represent in this document.
Unless the procedure after the installation of IE8 (procedure 6 to 9 below) is performed,
FCRView Client application will not be activated appropriately.
Applicable Software Environment

・FCRView V2.0(B) or later
Procedure
1, Activate [Window update] to ensure that “Internet Explorer8 for Windows Vista” is
checked in [Select the updates you want to install], and then click “OK”

2, The window below is displayed. Click “Install updates”
3, The window below is displayed in the midst of the installation. Click “Install >”

4, The window below is displayed. Click “I accept”
5, The window below is displayed when the installation has been completed. Click
“Restart now” to restart the PC.

6, The Splash Screen of FCRView is displayed for a second when the PC is

restarted, and then it disappears.
Click “FCRView” in the task tray to terminate the application.
Activate the Explorer and input the following address.
C:¥ProgramData¥FujiFilm¥Hobbit¥UserTemp
Double-click “HKCURegistry” when the window below is displayed.
7, Click “Yes” when the caution below is displayed.

8, The message below is displayed. Click “OK”. FCRView [User Selection] window is
appropriately displayed afterwards.
9, Confirm that there is no other updating program after IE8 has been installed.
The window below is displayed if other programs remain. Make sure of them and
apply them if needed.
