Mining accidents are one of the problems of mining in
Indonesia, but we believe that accidents can be avoided
or prevented, if we have a good plan and budget. Many
ways to prevent or reduce of the accident in the
workplaces, one of the most effective or important way
is using of the Employment Injury Insurance (EII)/
Work Accident Insurance (WAI) approached.

The objective of this paper is protecting or preventing workers
from the risks and hazards of the occupational accidents and work
related illnesses. In case of accidents occuranced the
rehabilitation and compensation benefits will be provided.
The methodology is used of the Employment Injury Insurance
scheme as following below:

1. The optimization of the employment injury
insurance/EII (invested the $) implemented regarding
to the statutory social security law;
2. The EII is one of the most effective or important
approached to prevent or reduce of accident in the
workplaces or mine sites;
3. Accidents investigation mechanism should be
implemented;
4. The accident is preventable with a good practice
efforts and also invest the money in accordance to the
statutory laws.
