COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course focuses on the implementation of the Rights of the Accused and Victims Welfare. This also covers the different procedures
in Crime Scene Investigation and Police Intelligence and the application of the different Fields of Forensic Sciences or Criminalistics in
Criminal Investigation and Intelligence. Likewise, this involves the application of the principles of Criminal Law, Evidence, and Procedures and
other related laws.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO):


A. Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior;
B. Internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare;
C. Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety and criminal justice;
D. Utilize Criminalistics or Forensic Science in the investigation and detection of crime;
E. Apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence and criminal procedure;
F. Ensure offenders’ welfare and development for their re-integration to the community.

PERFORMANCE INDICATOR:
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Apply the principles of law regarding the treatment of prisoners.


2. Apply the concepts of therapeutic modality in the treatment of detainees and prisoners.

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to human rights.
2. Use learned skills to ensure the welfare and development of offenders.
3. Prepare activities for offenders that may ensure their successful integration to the community.
