SOLUTIONs
1. 1×1! + 2×2! + 3×3! + …………+ 8×8! = ?

Solution: 9! – 1 = 362,879

2. If p = 1×1! + 2×2! + 3×3! + …………+ 9×9! , then p+2 = ?

Solution: (10! – 1)+2 = 3,628,801

3. When a perfect cube is divided by 6, then how many different remainders are possible?

Solution: For 1^3, 2^3, 3^3, 4^3, 5^3 and 6^3 we will get remainders by 6 are 1,2,3,4,5,0 so
6 different remainders, are possible

4. How many remainders are possible when 6th power of any integer is divided by 5.
Solution: For 1^6, 2^6, 3^6, 4^6 and 5^6 we will get remainders by are same as 1^2, 2^2,
3^2, 4^2 and 5^2, since cyclicity of 5 is 4, so remainders are 1,4,4,1 and 0 so total 3
different remainder are possible.
5. Product of any four even natural number is always divisible by which maximum number?
Solution1: HCF (2*4*6*8 , 4*6*8*10) = 384, need to cross check for 6*8*10*12 , so the
largest number is 384
Solution2: Always divisible by 2^4*4! = 384
6. Product of five consecutive natural numbers is divisible by 5 for how many sets if all
numbers are less than equal to 100.

Solution: All such sets are divisible, first set is 1*2*3*4*5 and last set is 96*97*98*99*100,
so all 96 sets are divisible by 5

7. Product of four consecutive natural number is divisible by 9 for how many values if all
numbers are less than equal to 100.

Solution: Out of 9 sets 5 sets are divisible by 9. First set is 1*2*3*4 and last set is
97*98*99*100, so till 99*100*101*12 we would have 55 values[sets] but upto 97 we have
only 55-2 = 53 sets possible
