Paragraph practice

The text below is for the Hotel Flamingo’s brochure. Unfortunately the paragraphs have been lost
and it is your job to mark where they should go before the brochure is published. There should be
five paragraphs in total.

The Hotel Flamingo

Welcome to the Hotel Flamingo! The hotel is situated in the popular seaside town of Windover
within walking distance of Pebble Beach and is easily identifiable because of its striking pink
exterior, sparkling fountain and twin marble lions. Inside the Hotel you will find over a
hundred rooms decorated with as much originality and taste as the hotel’s exterior. Many of
our rooms have sea views and each features a four poster bed, a 32” flat screen TV, hand
decorated wallpaper, a wardrobe and trouser press. All of our rooms have en suite bathrooms
with both a walk in shower and roll top bath. We provide fresh fluffy pink towels daily and
only the best toiletries. The Aquarium Restaurant, which can be found on the first floor, has
gained a reputation for serving outstanding cuisine freshly made using quality, local
ingredients. We think you’ll agree that you’d have to travel far and wide to find a banana
pizza or spinach jelly to compare with ours! Whether you prefer a continental buffet or a full
English, we are confident that you will enjoy eating breakfast in our restaurant while reading
the morning papers and admiring the view. Each night The Flamingo provides entertainment to
suit all ages. Bingo and karaoke are always popular but younger visitors often enjoy space
hopper races down our extensive corridors. Jemima, accompanied by her husband Jim, are our
musicians in residence and will happily take requests. If you wish to seek entertainment further
afield, shops and a range of restaurants can be found in the centre of Windover only a short
walk away. A ten minute bus or car ride will take you to the town of Westover which offers a
wider choice of bars and eateries as well as a cinema and skating rink.
