Transportation Hub and Shopping Centre
LOCATION : VALPOI 403506, GOA.
ARCHITECT : RAHUL DESHPANDE
TOTAL PLOT AREA : 17500 SQ.M
TOTAL BUILT –UP : 2862 SQ.M
YEAR OF PROJECT : 2013
CLIENT:
GOA STATE INFRASTRUCTION
DEVLOPMENT CORPORATION (GSIDC)
MATERIALS USED :
LATERITE WALLS
MATAL CLAD ROOF
Instead of following the conventional cubical forms, the facade breaks the monotony by splitting itself into different triangular shapes
and creates an interesting focus on the building.
This is given emphasis by the laterite walls and metal cladded roof.
A deliberate attempt to create an illusion of suspension and lightness, is pulled off through a series of eloquent cantilevering roofs and
unattached walls.
Material flexibility
Floating cloud silver and mountains
Bold use of white
Earthen hues and blue
Elementary aesthetic for any use
