1.1 Scope
Specification for Copper alloy plate.

1.2 Code
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME):
Section II Part B, Non-ferrous Material Specification, 2007 Edition.+ 2008Add

1.3 Material Specification : SB 171 UNS C46400

1.4 End Use : For use as Tubesheet.

2.0 Specification & Technical Delivery Condition

2.1 Material shall strictly conform to the requirements of SB 171 of

ASME Section II, Part B, 2007 Edition.+ 2008 Add
Definitions of term relating to copper and copper alloys, refer to Terminology B846.
2.2 The material shall conform to the chemical compositional requirements specified in
Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS C46400. When all of the elements in Table 1
are analyzed, their sum shall be 99.6% Minimum.
2.3 The plates shall conform to the tensile property requirements as perscribed in Table 3.
2.4 Dimensional tolerances shall be as per Tables no. 2, 4 & 5.
2.5 The manufacturer shall furnish a Certified Test Report certifying that the
material was manufactured, sampled, tested, and inspected in accordance with the
Specification, and that the results met the requirements of the Specification.
The Certified Test Report shall be dated and clearly identify the organization submitting the
report.

In addition, the Certified test Report shall include the following information and test results
a. Tensile Properties results
b. Chemical Analysis Result
Other test results to be reported by the product specification
2.6 Sampling shall be as per Section 11 of SB171 specification.
2.7 Material Mill Certificates shall be in accordance with EN-10204 3.1 (3.1B).
2.8 The sizes, quantity and detail shall be as per relevant PRS.
