Women who are new to a wig will find this thing more difficult.

It only takes a few minutes to get them ready to use.

Wigs are normally delivered in specialized packages, which are designed to protect and
preserve the hair. Be careful to open the package if you plan on storing your wig with the box.
But keep in mind to avoid accidentally cutting or ripping the wig when unfolding the wrap,
even if you intend to preserve your wig using a mannequin head.

Part One: Prepare Your Head and Wig

1. Prep the wig
After you have taken the wig out of the packaging, cup your hands beneath the wig and shake
it to let out extra fibers. This also helps loosen the wave and make hair look fuller and take on
the appearance of the style you ordered.
If you’ve bought a wig featuring waves and ringlets, gently run your fingers through the locks
to recover the natural-looking curls that are affected during the delivery.
You can use a wide-tooth comb or a wig brush for those stubborn curls or tangles. These

desired sleekness and volume.

2. Trim the Wig

Bangs: Trim the bangs of the wig by pulling them down straight and cutting them as you
would real hair. Always cut wig hair a little longer than you want it, don’t be hush.

3. Prep your own hair

Long hair: To prevent noticeable bumps or lumps beneath your wig, pin your long hair up
with flat pins that are distributed evenly over your head. You can also comb your hair into a
low ponytail or a flat bun, which is easier to handle and won’t be obvious looked from
outside.
Medium length hair: Make small braids from the roots to the nape.
 Short hair: Simply brush your hair back away from your face. To secure it, use hairspray,
gel, or bobby pins.
Little or no hair: Put on a professional wig liner to keep your wig in place and looking
fabulous all day long. It’ll also protect your scalp by decreasing the irritation of direct touch
with the wig cap.

4. Prep your Skin

Wipe along the hairline area with a cotton ball soaked in isopropyl alcohol. This will remove
body oil and impurities and make sure the glue to stick properly.
Meanwhile, apply a scalp protector (which comes in a spray, gel, or cream) to the skin by
your scalp. Only do this when you have sensitive skin.

5. Put on Cap
If you use glue: dip a small makeup brush in the glue and apply a layer around the hairline.
Let it naturally dry or use an air blower. This may take a few minutes. You will realize that it
is ready when the glue is no longer wet but sticky.
If you use masking tape, lightly place double-sided strips along the hairline and secure them
to your skin. Leave a little space between each strip. This will ensure that moisture can escape
when you sweat and will not affect an entire section of tape.
 a) To prevent the glue or tape from slipping, apply them to the edge of the cap to make the
wig more stable.
 b) You can use a combination of these two methods. It depends on you.
 c) You don't have to apply the glue or tape to the entire of your scalp. Be sure to put a little
bit on the top of your forehead and over your temples. These are the important areas to give
your wig a natural look. Then you can choose any other area that you think needs glue.

6. Put On Your Wig
 Grasp the nape of the wig with two hands, then bend your head forward slightly. Don't bend
over to put the wig on from behind. This will give your wig an off-center look, and parts of
the hair may stick to the adhesive material.
 Place the front part of the wig above your eyebrow. Then push the wig slowly back until it
positions below your natural hairline. Center the wig by positioning the ear tabs on both sides.

 If you use glue, gently press the edge of the wig down against the glued skin, working around
the hairline until it is wholly attached
 Tuck in the rest of the wig over your head. Make sure to keep the sides away from the glue as
much as possible so it doesn't stick before you're done.
 7. Secure Your Wig
Use a fine-tooth comb to gently press under the front edges of the wig. (If you are wearing a
lace wig, try to lay the lace down with heavy-duty hairspray to form a natural hairline). Once
the front half of your wig is secured, wait 15 minutes for it to set. Then follow the same steps
from the front to the back. Wait 15 more minutes before styling to make sure the wig is
secure.
 You can also use bobby pins to make your wig more secure. Place the bobby pins across the
top of your wig, hooking them into your cap with the hair underneath. Do it towards the
middle to make sure they are not visible.
 Once it's in place, check for any visible glue residue under the wig. If there is, remove it by
gently rubbing the areas with a cotton pad soaked in an alcohol solution.
 If you fail to try for the first time, try to use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol around the area
to separate it from your skin. Reorient your wig and put it back on.

8. Style or Decorate Wig

Once your wig is fully secured, you are free to style it however you wish. The wigs can be
braided, curled, or decorated to any styles. If you have a synthetic wig, avoid heating the
wicks as they can melt or get damaged. However, most of our synthetic wigs are made of
heat-resistant fiber. That means you are free to curl or straighten or blow-dry your wigs-just
pay attention to the temperature limit.
Remember to only use special wig products, including hair spray and mousse. Products made
for natural hair may damage your wig.

9. Wear a Hat
If it is winter or if you like to wear caps, hats or caps are a good option to help make you look
natural, especially when you wear a synthetic wig or if the support it has is not entirely
adequate.
