1. AEROBIC ACTIVITIES: Dance Aerobics

Time Allotment WK.1- Wk2: HEALTH OPTIMIZING PHYSICAL EDUCATION (H.O.P.E 1) 2 Meetings
Introduction Week 1: the students must know the different aerobic exercise and some basic dance
steps.

Learning skills in Dance aerobic exercise such as leg and arm movements and basic dance
steps is important in creating a dance aerobic routine.

Processing questions based on the video presentation that being shown:


1. Where you get tired after the dance simulation?
2. How was your heartbeat pump?
3. What makes a person experienced sweating?
4. What specific health benefits that you have gained after simulation?
Instruction Week 1:
The teacher will discuss the following inputs to the students:
-What is dance?
-What is Aerobic?
-What is Exercise?
-Discuss the Dance Aerobic Exercise
-Discuss some health benefits in performing Dance Aerobic exercise
Practice Week 1:

-The teacher will demonstrates the fundamental Aerobic exercises and some dance steps
and then the students will return-demo.

Leg movements:
March, V-steps, Kicks, Bicycle crunch, lunge, side lifts

Arm movements:
Arm circling, shoulder rotation, overhead press.

-The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups with 8-10 members.
 They will be given a rubric for their performance with the given allotted time for
practice: 5 minutes within their group.

-Each group will create their own dance Aerobic routine using the song of their choice with
accordance to FITT principles and Principles of Exercise.
