Hello everyone.

My name is Dinhessraj S/O Raman and currently im a trainee

teacher at the Institude of teacher Eduaction Darulaman campus. My major subject
is Mathematics and my minor subject is Music. Im 22 years old and my origin is
Johor. Im the eldest in family and I have a younger sister.

At last, I would to thank to “Canvas” for giving me the great opportunity for participate
in this dual language programme. It’s really helps alot aspecially in communications
skills. Not only that, I did improve my vocabulary and learned some new terms used
in mathematics.

Now , I would like to talk about two activities that I enjoy doing while im not teaching.
Firstly is Im a melophile. Im a person who really got attached with music. In my free
time, I used to play some instruments such as piano keyboard and guitar. Currently,
im also learning and practicing myself to play a 10 hole harmonica too. Music does
gave me a lot of benefits in my life. When I start to learn basics and theory of music
in my institude, I went though some struggle since im new to it. At that time, my
music lecturer said that the most important in learning music is passion and practice.
Since I heard that, I became a motivational quote for me. So, whenever I felt down,
upset or going to some life problems, I will listen to some melodies and play any
instruments that gave a good mind relaxtion.

Another activity that I love to do is travelling. In more specific, I love to visit nature
which beautifully exists in our world. Im glad that I born in Malaysia and our country
rich in nature such as thick forest, challenging mountains, waterfalls and so on. I love
to go for hiking too. Just to enjoy the topview and the sunrise. Im 22 years old now
and nearly I went to all the states in Malaysia such as …..
Recently, I was planning to go Pahang, specifically to Pulau tioman. Since the world
having this pandemic situation by Covid-19, my friends and I postponed the trip
plam. I hope that I travel and create some memories in Pulau tioman before 2020.

Okay. Here I would to tell about the fear have about teaching Maths in English. In my
institude, im learned mathematics in Bahasa Malaysia. Since it’s our national
language. But after I graduate, I will be posting to a tamil school where they learning
Mathematics most in tamil language. This is because students can learn and
understand even clear and faster in their mother tongue. On last year, I went for my
practical in a tamil school nearby for three months. And I taught them mathematics in
tamil. Whenever I use some englsh terms in mathematics, they might confused and
some don’t even know the meaning for the terms. Because of that, I adapted myself
to teach mathematics purely in tamil for a better understanding. I glad I gave them a
good lessons but personally im unabe to develop my teaching skills dual language. I
hope that I have enough knowlodge to teach in dual language but im quite worried
about my experienced gained in my life.
