“IKIGAI - Find your purpose for being”

 
Description

Iki means “life; alive” and kai (pronounced as gai in this case) can be translated as “reason;
worthiness; fruitful; effective.”

As a concept, IKIGAI intends to help you understand your ‘reason for being’, i.e. your ‘purpose’,
by identifying your passion, mission, profession and vocation. The Japanese also regard it as a
way to happiness and joy.

In order to create your own IKIGAI, you will be required to understand the template and answer
each aspect for yourself. The objective of the assignment is to help you become more
self-aware and transition these elements to realize your ambition and goals.

Instructions & Elements

- Enlist all possible answers for the following four questions for yourself:
➢ What you love
➢ What the world needs
➢ What you are/can be paid for
➢ What are you good at

- Enlist all possible answers for following words when applied to you:
➢ Passion
➢ Mission
➢ Vocation
➢ Profession

- Consider both the lists, pick any one component and fill the template given below.
- Do this for all 4 components
- Find intersection points/ commonalities between all 4 components.
