Prayer for Help with Finances

Dear God,
I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love.
I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties, and fears about money, and replace them with faith.
I know and trust that my debts will be paid and money will flow into my life.
I have only to look to nature to see proof of the abundance you provide.
I release all negative thoughts about money, and know that prosperity is my true state.
I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life.
I learn to manage my finances wisely, seeking help where needed.
And finally, I ask you to help me understand my purpose in life and to act on that purpose with
courage and strength. I know that prosperity will come, in part, by doing work I love. Please help
me use my skills and knowledge to be of service in the world.
Thank you, God.

Amen

Prayer for Protection
Visit this place, O Lord, and drive far from it all snares of the enemy; let your holy angels dwell with us to
preserve us in peace; and let your blessing be upon us always; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The almighty and merciful Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless us and keep us. Amen.

Prayer for Protection

The Light of God surrounds me;

The Love of God enfolds me;
The Power of God protects me;
The Presence of God watches over me;
Wherever I am, God is,
And all is well.

A Prayer for Strength When Weary

Lord, I’m weary. My energy is sagging, and my motivation is lagging. And I am so in need of you. I need
your strength and your fresh touch to get back on track again. Your Word says the joy of the Lord is my
strength. If that's true, then I need your joy to replace all the bone-tired parts of my mind, body, and soul.

The pressures of life sometimes push me into a corner, rendering me helpless to move forward. A hundred
voices call my name, and I feel paralyzed at times to answer, not knowing where to turn. Lord, help me not
to quit, to keep running the race faithfully, and to find strength in that safe, secret place of yours, under the
shadow of the Almighty.

I need your strength to say no when I'm tempted to surrender to harmful things, or when selfishness clings
to my clothes and won't let go. I need your strength to say yes, when cowardice and fear nudge me to deny
the convictions of my heart. I need your strength to reach out in love to those both close to me and all
around me. When don't I need your strength, God?

You are my rock, and I run to you today, believing that you will lift up my heavy arms, that you will fuel me
for the tasks you've given me, and that your joy will completely consume the weakness of my life and make
me strong again. I don't want to stay grounded, crippled by limitations and failed attempts. I'm tired of
feeble efforts. Lord, I want to mount up with wings like an eagle and not just fly. I want to soar.

Renew my strength, Lord. Fill me with your supernatural power to overcome each obstacle in my path. With
my eyes on you, Lord, with you walking beside me, working through me, I can make it. Thank you, Lord!

In Jesus's name, Amen

Anxiety and fear are relentless. The longer you struggle with fear, the more likely it is for you to be
overwhelmed by it, allowing it to control your every move. Choosing not to deal with it can be extremely
problematic in that it takes away from you being able to live a whole and complete life. Even still, we
have a promise that “God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability” (1
Corinthians 10:13). One of the best ways to rid yourself of the fear is to shift your outlook on life. Here
are eight Bible quotes that will help you begin to do this.

1 John 4:18

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The
One who fears is not made perfect in love.”

In verse 17, John tells us how to have confidence or boldness on the Day of Judgment. And in verse 18,
he tells us how to cast fear out of our lives. These are only positive and negative ways of saying the same
thing: getting rid of concern is the negative way of becoming confident. John wants to help us enjoy
confidence before God. He does not want us to be paralyzed or depressed by fear of judgment.

Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

By definition, a refuge is a safe place. When the Bible describes God as our refuge, it says that God is our
safe place when we need protection from something. Knowing God is our refuge enables us to trust Him
more freely. We need not fear situations or people who threaten our well-being, whether in a physical
or spiritual sense. There is no situation we will ever face that is out of God’s control, so the best place to
be, always, is right with Him.

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help
you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Sometimes, we can read certain verses from scripture a hundred times and fail to hear them the way
the Lord wants us to. Other times, we can linger on a verse or two and allow those verses to minister to
your life, healing, and comfort to us. Isaiah 41:10 is so rich with the promises of God that it warrants
some special attention from us. Ultimately, the Lord wants to impart to us through this verse that we
should not be afraid. “Fear not [there is nothing to fear].” One reason why God warns us against fear is
that it can short-circuit the answered prayers and blessings that He has in store for us.

Revelation 1:17

“Then He placed His right hand on me and said: Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”

Jesus said first, “Do not be afraid” This is what we need to hear in these days when many of us are so
anxious. Remember, fear does not glorify God. Jesus was always saying “fear not” to his frightened
disciples. The Gospels record that they expressed themselves in manifestations of fear, anxiety, worry,
and panic every time they were in trouble, but the Lord always came along at the right moment and
said, “Fear not.” We are called to do the same.

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

One of the most popular passages from the Bible is this passage from Philippians. Most biblical scholars
agree that the apostle Paul composed Philippians while he was in prison, so Paul was able to reject
anxiety even during his own imprisonment, making the passage even more encouraging. Although it
might seem novel to see biblical writers addressing modern worries, the lesson from this passage is
timeless and can affect anyone. The life of faith is filled with a constant challenge to risk more to
become our true selves.

Psalm 94:19

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Psalm 94:19

What this Psalm tells us is that even in rough or desperate situations, we can be filled with the joy of the
Lord. He is our consolation, and His Word eases anxiety as nothing else can. God can bring joy to your
soul even when you are most anxious by merely knowing that He’s present and trusting in His power.

Luke 12:22-26

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more
than food and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no
storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by
worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry
about the rest?”

Life is more than food and clothing. God has reminded us of that throughout the scriptures. Jesus
reminded us of it when He faced temptation from Satan. We should not worry because God will take
care of the big stuff and the little stuff. Worrying does not change things, big or small, except to make
those problems appear worse than they really are. Why let ourselves get so worked up into a frenzy
over “big things”? Cast your cares on God and then trust in His wisdom.

Psalm 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of
whom shall I be afraid?”

Like many psalms, King David wrote this from a season of trouble. Yet, it is a song of confidence and
triumph because David was not in darkness or ultimate peril because the Lord was his light and
salvation. God Himself brought light to David’s life. He did not despair in darkness and all that it
represented. His life was filled with the Lord, and his life was filled with the light.

One of the best ways to change your outlook on life is through the power of scripture. Read God’s Word,
and repeatedly immerse yourself in it. The more you read, the better you will understand His Word and
the truth found in it. While fear may continue to show up for you when you acknowledge and truly
believe God is in control.

God Can Turn Your Hurt into Hope

The Lord has a plan for the pain you are going through.

Do you feel like you have hit a wall and there is no hope moving forward? You might be battling a
difficult spell of depression, going through a rough divorce, or have just lost your job. When these things
happen, it can feel like your entire world is crumbling around you.

When you're hurting and crying out for help, God hears you. When you are struggling, God is walking
next to you. When you feel the most alone, God is working to turn your life around.

If you feel you have no hope in your life, turn to God. He is so powerful that He can transform even the
worst of situations into something beautiful. God is working behind the scenes for you to turn your pain
into hope, here’s how.

God is Always in Control

It can be difficult to imagine why God would ever let someone suffer, but the truth is that God is always
in control. Nothing happens in your life that He is not aware of. God has a great plan for your life! He
knows that you will struggle through painful situations, but He can sustain you during the worst of times.
We can rely on God when we are struggling, because we know He is in control. In 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 it
says “We were crushed and completely overwhelmed, and we thought we would never live through it.
But as a result, we learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God who can raise the dead.”

God Won’t Fail You

The verse 1 Peter 4:19 says “If you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is
right and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.” Straight from the Bible,
God promises that He will never let you know or let you fall. Even when terrible things happen in your
life, Jesus is by your side. There is absolutely nothing that He can’t take on and win. Even the enemy
trembles when you say His name!

You Will Have Eternal Life

While things may seem dark and bleak now, we can find hope that one day we will be with our Father in
heaven. Romans 8:18 says “What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will give us later.”
Think of how great our lives will be when we leave this earth and enter our eternal home! That sliver of
hope, knowing that this is not how things will be forever, is sometimes all we need to get through to the
next day. Pray to God and let Him know how you look forward to meeting Him one day.

Purpose For Your Pain

You might not see this now, but God has a purpose for the pain that you are going through. Everything
you go through in life is leading you to something greater. It’s okay to ask God what His plan is, and to
reveal His purpose for it. He might not answer right away, but through dealing with your circumstances
you will begin to see light on the other side.

You Aren’t Alone

Even when you feel like God isn’t there, He’s really standing next to you planning the next steps of your
life. He is not letting you go through the pain alone! You can find hope that you have an advocate and
teacher walking with you each step of the way. Hebrews 13:5-6 says “For God has said, I will never fail
you. I will never forsake you. That is why we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper, so I will not
be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

James 1:2-4 says "Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity
for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your
endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything." Instead of letting
the pain push you down, you should use it as a way to increase your faith in God. God has a purpose for
the pain you are going through and will turn those struggles into something beautiful. Speak to God and
ask for Him to help you cultivate hope through Him.
