INTRODUCTION

Premier Explosives Limited is engaged in the business of high energy materials (commercial
explosives and defense explosives). The Company's geographical segments include India,
which includes sales and services to customers within India, and other countries, which
includes sales and services to customers outside India. Its commercial explosives consist of
bulk explosives, packaged explosives, cast booster, emulsion booster, detonators and
detonating fuse, which are used in mining and infrastructure sectors. Its defense explosives
consist of solid propellants, tear gas grenades, explosive bolts, pyro actuators, smoke
markers, pyrogen igniters and pyro devices, among others, which are consumed in
manufacture of missiles and other defense items. The Company also operates and maintains
solid propellant plants of defense and space establishments. The Company has approximately
six manufacturing facilities located in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and
Telangana
Premier Explosive Ltd today has the widest range of products and technologies in the
manufacture of Explosives & Accessories. These include Emulsion and Slurry explosives,
LD cartridge explosives, Bulk Explosives, Small-dia non-permitted explosives, Permitted
explosives, Cast Boosters, Pillow-packs for secondary blasting; Detonating Fuse of various
core-loads, Plain detonators, Instantaneous Electric Detonators, Electric Delay Detonators,
Permitted Detonators, Cord Relays and Amardet NoN -Electirc Shock-tube Detonators.
PEL has constantly innovated and upgraded its technology to offer "state-of-the-art" products
to its valued customers both in India and abroad. Commitment to quality, Safety, Health &
Environment are the way of life at PEL. PEL's R &D facility is recognized by the
Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India, as an
established research centre. It is also recognized as a research base for Ph.D. work by the
Gulbarga University, Gulbarga, Karnataka. PEL’s laboratory is accredited by the National
Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). PEL also has a
collaboration with IIT, Madras for research and development in high energy materials.
The wide distribution network comprising of magazines Consignment Agents, Dealers and
Handling Agents, located across the country, ensure ready stock and prompt delivery to
customers even in remote locations. There is a team of highly experienced and qualified sales
and Technical Service engineers to provide full support on applications, safety and handling
of explosives and accessories to customers. This is backed by a team of expert mining /
blasting engineers at the Technical Services group located at headquarters.

Defence Products

Solid Propellants:
Premier has been manufacturing solid propellants from 2003. Since then Premier has been
adding facilities to manufacture solid propellants at Peddakandukuru in Nalgonda district of
Telangana. The company has been catering to the needs of tactical missiles like Astra, Akash,
LRSAM and rockets like Pinaka.

Specialty Products:
Premier also produces Explosive Bolts, Pyro Actuators, Smoke Markers, Cable Cutters and
many other products including Blazer Plates for the defence sector.

Commercial Explosives

The Company is manufacturing a diverse range of commercial explosives such as Bulk

explosives Packaged explosives, Cast booster, Emulsion booster, Detonators and Detonating
fuse for mining and infrastructure requirements at its 6 manufacturing units. Premier is a
dominant player in its segment with its marketing network comprising of consignment
agents, dealers, and handling agents across India. Premier also exports commercial explosives
to S.E. Asian, Middle Eastern and European countries.

AMARDET Short Delay Detonators

Amardet Short Delay Detonators (ms series) are

specially designed for initiation of cap-sensitive
explosives / booster in underground metal mines.
The product is non-electric.

detonating fuse with high tensile strength and
abrasion resistance. It is an ideal means of
transmitting detonation from a detonator to an

Coal Delay Detonators

Coal Delay Detonators These detonators consist of

a copper / zinc copper coated steel shell filled with
desired quantity of PETN as base charge And a
mixture of NHN as primary charge. NHN is
sensitive to flame while PETN.

Amar Double Det

Amar Double Det is a non-electric initiation system

which is a combination of Amardet In-Hole Delay
Detonator crimped at one end and a Amardet Surface
Delay Detonator crimped to the other end of a
required length of shock tube
