Introduction

When you are going to travel abroad, you need to have a strict itinerary, you
need to be on time at the airport, and have all your documents for the arrival
in the foreign country, that´s why, I designed this amazing picture dictionary,
where you will find cute pictures and simple concepts to describe some
aspects and articles you will need for your trip.

Even if you go for having fun, studying or working you have to accomplish some
requirements and know some of the basic words to communicate easily with
others during the journey process. You have to take into account too some
disadvantages of being in a unknown country, you can got a flu, virus or you can
be allergic to something that is around, or in the environment, is important you
buy an inssurance and take it to your trip, if you have a health problema you
can visit a doctor to recover your health and to avoid spend a lot of money in
those posible situations.
Purposes

1. To make aware people for taking all the posible cautions before going
abroad.

2. To analyze the documents you need for going abroad.

3. To know some vocabulary you use for going a trip or a journey.

4. To know we can have some allergies when you travel to tropical zones

5. To know why is so important to buy an inssurance for going abroad.

Going abroad dictionary

1. Airplane:
Is a flying vehicle with fixed wings in which people send their deliverys,
it is used for travelling around the country or the world.

2. Airport:
Is the place where peoples takes an airplane for travelling around the
country or travelling abroad.
3. Allergy:
Is a damaging immune response by the body to a substance, especially a
particular food, pollen, fur, or dust, to which it has become
hypersensitive, it is so common in travels to tropical zones.
4. Arrivals:
Is when a person or vehicle arrives to a place from a journey.
5. Behind:
Is a position immediatly in back of someone or something else.
6. Bill:
Is a printed or written statement of the money owed for goods or
services.
7. Block:

Is the distance along a street from where one road crosses it to


the place where the next road crosses it, especially in a town or a city.
8. Boarding pass:
Is a card that a passenger needs for travelling, it is asked for airplane
or ship trips.
9. Bus:
A vehicle where people is taken from a place to another, normally used
for public transportation.
10. Cab:
Is a vehicle used for public transportation, it takes you from one place
to another, synomyn of taxi.
11. Corner:

Is the area where two lines or edges meet.


12. Departures:
Is when a person or vehicle leaves a place to start a journey
13. Flight attendant:
Is the person who serves the people in the airplane.
14. Flight:
Is when a person or animals travels or flies through the air.
15. Flu:
Is a common infectious illness that causes fever and headache, people
can be affected during trips or journeys.
16. Go Left:
Is to go on or towards the side of your body that is to the west when
you are facing north, turn on your left side.
17. Go Right:
Is one of the directions for you to locate in a place or city, turn on your
right side
18. Go straight

Is to continue in one direction without stopping or curving.


19. Headache:
Is a continous pain on the head that can be caused during some airplane
or bus trips.

20. In front of:


Is a position at the front part of someone or something else.
21. Insurance:

Is a thing providing protection against a possible eventuality during a journey.


22. Map:
Is a graphic that shows the location or position of some related places.
23. Next to:

Is a position immediatly to one side of someone or something else.


24. No vacancy:
Is when a hotel room is not available for rent
25. Station:
Is a place where the passengers of a train or bus can get on or off.
26. Street:

Is a public road in a city or town surrounded by buildings and houses


from side to side.
27. Stop:
To not move any more or to make someone or something not move any
more.
28. Subway:

Is an underground electric railroad for pedestrians or vehicles, usually


in a large city.
29. Suitcase:
Is a portable case for holding traveler´s clothes and personal articles.
30. Reception:

Is the place in a hotel where people go when they first arrive in a


travel.

31. Reservation:
Is the action to reserve something like the room in a hotel for a trip.

32. Ticket:

A piece of paper for travelling in the public transportation.


33. To be lost:

Is when someone else is in a place that doesn´t know and needs to get
to another one.
34. To board:

Is to be in a train, airplane or boat to start a journey.


35. To catch:

To take a vehicle for public transportation.

36. To check in:


Is to arrive and register at a hotel or airport.
37. To check out:

Is to leave a hotel after paying the bill
38. To depart:

To leave a place for starting a trip.


39. To help:

To give assistance or support to someone else who needs it.


40. To land:

Is when an aircraft arrives on the ground after moving through the air
41. To look for:

To hope to get to a place that you want or need to.


42. To order:

Is a request to make, supply, or deliver food or goods.


43. To serve:

Is to provide food or drinks.
44. To take off:

Is when an airplane, aircraft leaves somewhere and begins to fly.


45. Transfer:
To change a place or mean of transport during a journey.
46. Trip:
Is a journey or travel that you do specially for pleasure.
47. To cross:
To pass in an opposite or different directions.

48. Vacancy:
Is when a hotel room is available for rent.
49. Virus:
Is an infection or disease caused by a virus, people can be affected
during trips or journeys.
50. Where
Is a question word used when referring to a particular place or position.
