Maintenance Procedure

 Machine Name:
APSOL (automatic packaging machine)
 Purpose:
Routine and extraordinary maintenance for the machine in different
time of year.
 Procedure:
o Lubrication:
Lubrication should be carried out adhering to the times and
intervals indicated below. The indicated parts should be checked
and lubricated before starting up the machine.

Lubrication with Permanent Grease


The gear motor (M) coupled with the machine motors are
lubricated with grease for life so do not need any further
lubrication.
While carrying out maintenance, however, it is necessary to
check the integrity of the gaskets and seal rings, by checking in
particular that no grease is leaking from the drive shaft outlets.

Lubrication with grease using syringe pump use ISO XM2


class grease.

Every 200 working hours supply the following points fitted


with lubricator:
- Carton opening and pick-up carriage.
- Pressing device axial bearing.
- Adjustable bearing supports.

Every 200 working hours, using a brush, apply a layer of
grease to the following parts:
- Cog bar.
- Sliding bar.
- Gears and racks

Clean away excess grease that may dirty the products during
machine operations.

Frequency description
Grease every 2 weeks the center device greaser
Every 2 week Grease every 2 weeks the sliding block greaser of shaker
Grease every 2 weeks the sliding block greaser of arm
Grease every 2 weeks the bushing greaser of bottle stopper

o General Maintenances
Every 8 working hours
Examine the machine generally for any damaged or worn part.

Every 40 working hours


Check all the chain/tape drives and check them for wear and
tear and lubrication .Tighten them if necessary.
Check and, if necessary, tighten the products and carton
alimentation benches
Check for wear on the pneumatic cylinders and connected part
(joints, lever system, wear of drive and idle wheel, head system
belt, etc.…)

Carton filling area
- Check that the screws on the moving part on this area are
tightened
- Check the Gate control cylinder.
- Check the Pick-up head pliers control cylinders.
- Check the Carton stopping device cylinder.
- Check the Carton spacing device cylinder.

Head belt system


In this area we have two servo motors and two belts for the axis
X, Y.
- Check and tighten all screws, nuts in this area.
- Check that the two belt are appropriately tighten.
- Check and lubricant the track for two motor.

Product and cases motor conveyer


- Check the appropriate direction for conveyer and for any
damaged pieces in the conveyer.
- Check the lubricant for gear shaft for all motors.
- Check the oil in the gear for all motors.
- Check and tighten all nuts in electrical box for all motor.

Electrical panel for machine and sensors


- Clean the panel from the inside using air blower to remove dust.
- Check and tighten all screws for cable terminal.
- Clean all photocells and sensor on the machine using a wet
fabric.

Compressed air system


Check the bowl that collects the condensation from the
compressed air system:
- unscrew the bowl and remove it.
- empty the condensation and wish with water.
- refit the bowl.

o Format Change
This chapter provides indication on the part to be replaced and
the adjustments to be made in relation to the size of the product
to be packed.
