A. POSTION OF UNLOADING OF CRANE .

The position for the Unloading of the main crane will be at side of Road No-3 & at the turning
of road no-3(i.e co-ornidate E-6617.100) .Crane will be unloaded in such a manner that it would
be easier to assemble its parts. Aprrox 17 multi axel trailer will be required for different parts of
the crane. The same will be unloaded by crane (80mt) and hydra(14 Mt) if required. The same as
been enclosed.

B. HARD STAND & CRANE POSTIONING

For hard standing of crane M.S Plate 20mm thk will be used for proper positioning. Crane will be
placed in front of respective Equipment so that erection can be make smother & easier, i.e
crane will enter Maintance access road (mark in Plant Layout) it will take minimum 11 mtr
wide road but availability of width is only 6 mtr.

C. ASSEMBLY OF CRANE.
Assembly for the main crane would be done at the Road No-3 i.e co-ordinate (y-1504.920). The
minimum time required for assembly of crane will be 5-6 days. The same as been enclosed.

D. LOAD TESTING
Load test will be done by lifting crane self counter weight for a minimum height of 1.5 to 2
mtr ,at the assembly point.

E. CRANES(MAIN & TRAILING) ERECTION POSTION

As per attached Layout

II. GENERAL METHODOLOGY

1. It is proposed to use crane to carry out erection of the Equipments as depicted in the enclosed
erection scheme drawings.
2. The detail of proposed boom length & operating radius, counter weight trolley with load details,
etc are as indicated in the erection scheme for various equipments.
3. The rigging accessories, tools for proposed lifting loads / equipment weight are specified.
4. The hardstand preparation/M.S plates as per approved construction / pavement of the different
layers shall be done prior to placement for crane. MS plate of shall be provided between surface
and crane crawler contact area for distribution of equal load.

III. CHECK POINTS BEFORE CARRYING OUT ERECTION

1. Review TC / Third Party Inspection report and carry out load test of the crane for the proposed
maximum lifting weight.
2. Provide the barricades/ caution boards near the area where the erection activities will take
place.
3. Chipping of the grouting to be done in the foundation where the where the equipment is to be
erected.
4. Only the chief rigging foreman, who is identified & authorized, shall give instruction to the rigging
crew.
5. Safety watch, fire extinguisher, fire hose shall be maintained/ available at the site during the
period of heavy erection activities.
6. Surrounding area to be checked for proper compaction for crane movement and placement of
equipment0
7. Position of crane and equipment in relation to foundation is accordance with attached drawings
8. Wind velocity not to exceed 15 Km. per Hour.
9. Safety permit to be obtained wherever require.
10. ‘D’ – Shackles: Capacity & test certificate, fixing.
11. Track of crane movement: Width, preparation.
IV PRE-ARRANGEMENT FOR ERECTION
1. Survey the approach / access and location of crane positioning.
2. Fill up all the trenches with sand and level the area where the crane is to be positioned.
3. The ground preparation/ hardstand shall be done where the main crane will be positioned for
carrying out all the erection activities.
4. Provide the scaff holding platforms to facilitate bolting, alignment and welding at the top of
Equipment.

IV(A)Check during lifting & erection:

1. Loads on slings: Proper or not.

2. Tracks: Any unevenness.
3. Personal safety: Persons are in safe distance.
4. Crane drums speed: Should be near to similar.
5. Orientation of the job: Should be as per the drawing.
6. Shim plates: Proper placing.

V ERECTION METHODOLOGY
Step by step 0method is depicted below for erection of the CCR equipments. The Plan and
Elevation drawings for various stages are indicated in the enclosed erection scheme drawings.

A ERECTION OF EQUIPMENTS
1. After checking the level of the foundation with reference to Reference Bench mark ,
necessary chipping, cleaning would be done in order to maintain
2. General orientation of Nozzle would be ascertained to confirm the general plot plan. Elevation
of the equipment should be checked from plot plan and nozzle co-ordination from the
equipment drawings
3. Ear marked area for positioned of the crane shall be prepared for required levelness & uniform
compaction.
4. With required boom length, crane shall be marched and placed on the top of the hard stand,
final location for carrying out the entire erection.
5. First lift the equipment with the main crane and trailing crane.
6. Initially lift the equipment to a height of 1mtr.
7. Check once again the path of equipment movement and then swing the crane boom towards
the actual position.
8. Place the equipment over the structural foundation provide as per drawing and bolts shall be
fixed on all the bolt holes in legs.
9. After completion of erection, carryout inspection for proper positioning and vertical alignment.
10. The shim plates if required shall be placed in between frames and legs.
11. Tighten all the bolts completely for all the four legs and carryout final inspection for
alignment.
12. Detach the crane sling with the equipment after completion swing the crane towards
the path for preparing itself for erection.
13. The points 1 to 10 shall be repeated for erection of all remaining equipments (enclosed with
erection drawing).

VI. Dismantling & Demobilization of crane.

After erection of respective equipment crane will be dismantled at the same location where
assembly had been done and the same will be loaded on trailer.

VII DRAWINGS AND DOCUMENTS

Drawings and Documents are enclosed along with the erection scheme to show various position/
stages in elevation & plan for entire operation / erection activities.

VIII RECORDS & PROTOCOL

Protocol for Erection & Alignment shall be prepared, get it inspected from Technip/Uhde & signed by all
concerned as part of records.
