The need for outdoor emergency lighting isn't always readily apparent. Common sense however would suggest that
many areas requiring outdoor lighting for safety and security might also require emergency lighting in the event of a
power outage. Moreover, there are at least three compelling reasons to include outdoor emergency lighting in any
outdoor lighting design.
EMERGENCY OUTDOOR LIGHTING–
ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS
Typically no provisions at all are made for outdoor emergency lighting. A common solution is a wet location, "frog
eyes" type emergency luminaire which invariably detracts from the aesthetics of the site. Gardco offers a variety of
architectural emergency outdoor lighting solutions which are discretely housed in the standard luminaires thereby
preserving the intent of the architectural design.
