DISCUSSION RESPONSE 2

Hello

After reading your article repeatedly, I realized that you never talked about dissemination

strategies, the barriers you may encounter when utilizing those dissemination strategies, and the

ways of overcoming the identified barriers. Dissemination strategies may include posters

presentations, hands-on simulation classes, emails and electronic networking tools, and many

others. The barriers that you may encounter when using the latter strategies are staff resistance

and non-compliance. On the ways of overcoming the barriers to the dissemination strategies, you

can talk about education, training, communication, and engage and automate to simplify nurse

management. Educating the staff on the culture change will reduce staff resistance to follow the

new policies (Hankemeier & Van Lunen, 2013). Many different training mechanisms can be

used in educating the staff on the culture change for them to have a better understanding of the

new policies and procedures based on the Evidence-Based Practice.

In order to break the barrier of resistant staff, there must be excellent communication between

the management and the employees and between the employees themselves. Communication

entails formal and informal sending and receiving of information or data. When talking about

communication, it should be an open and ongoing conversation. This will reduce the staff's

resistance to change (Camargo et al., 2018). Having two-way communication between the

employees allows them to offer positive feedback, which can spur on their culture change efforts.
