My Feedback for two assignments.

One
is Web evaluation which is 10% of the
module. Second is Website development
which is 80% of the module
Student got 86 marks in Web Evaluation Assignment.
My feedback is as follows.

A well formatted report contains all the relevant components with clear headings and subheading.
Only one reference is provided and is listed as per Harvard style. You should have included more
sources.

The structure and navigation section is written well. The functionalities such as about us page, log in,
the location of the main aspect of the website and links are analysed well. Justifications are provided
on why they are appropriate in their way. That’s very good. The section on how the website meets
its target audience is explained well. Good analysis has been conducted to evaluate the content of
the website including the front page, headers, font style, sign up and blog sections. The ‘appearance
and style’ section covers distinctive features of style such as colour, background, font, logo, images
and importance of sub heading well. One suggestion that you could have added screenshots to
support your points.

The introduction is set up well. It mentions about the website and what has been written in this
report. Realistic and well justified conclusion is drawn. It covers all the main points. The good thing
about this report is each point has been analysed to the depth.

Another student got 55 marks in Web Evaluation Assignment.

My feedback is as follows.

You have selected a very good website. Though the submission has clear headings and subheadings,
it does not contain a title page and a table of contents. The references are listed but not as per
Harvard style. The introduction describes about the site well however, it does not tell readers about
the contents you are going to cover in this report. The contents and audience and technicality are
explained in the report however, the entire report gives more information about the site rather than
evaluating each aspect. The conclusion does not summarise the main points discussed in the report.

You have not clicked any group number and did not ask for that.

Student got 92 marks Website development assignment

The website is elegantly presented and it flows logically. The layout is designed very well and is
consistent in all pages. The design is clear and crisp and helps users to purchase the product
smoothly. Each use case is designed well. All the links are working, forms are appropriately designed,
the text is written well. HTML5 elements are used. That’s very good.

The numbers and naming conventions of the file names are appropriate. CSS file has no validation
errors however, the HTML file has 3 basic errors that you could have fixed easily. The basket page is
presented well however, you were expected to use a table structure rather than pasting an image.
Apart from this, the website is very beautiful. Also, providing a readme file has been very useful.

Another student got 30 marks in website development assignment

The assignment is submitted on time. Folders are organized and correct naming conventions are
followed. The website opens with “assign1.html” and that’s good. HTML files are validated correctly
but the CSS file is presented with errors.

The Html and CSS files are less in numbers. The navigation bar is presented in all pages but pages are
just copied and pasted with different names. Only the under-construction page is created. The item
purchase task could not be fulfilled. Forms and tables are not created. A reference page is not
created. Also, the website could not present the slideshow.

You have demonstrated good understanding during the lab but your submission is inadequate.
