MANISTEE — Two interesting construction proj-
ects are underway at the Ramsdell Theatre.
A group of volunteers led by John Bell are busy

Manistee Ramsdell Theatre Governance Authority

volunteers who have done the most work on the
project are Roger Betts and Tim Giess.

basement restrooms. A new stairway will be added
at the back of the theater house at the former loca-
tion of the men’s restroom. At the bottom of the
stairway a new doorway through the 18-inch stone
wall that separates the theater and hall sides of the
building will go directly to the restroom area.
PauLon Construction Management of Holly was
the low bidder on the project, and that company’s
owner, Lon Marshall, said he and his sons are
enjoying their work in the historic building.
Both projects should be completed soon, in
plenty of time for upcoming spring activities in the
bulding.
