1 “Non-violence” in trauma healing means that the “healer” remains neutral & non-judgemental towards
himself/herself & the other people involved at ALL times of the healing process. It is also necessary to
respect diversity (social inclusion). This is “creating a safe place” for yourself & for others, while they go
through the healing process.

2 Many religious peace-building organisations advocate Reconciliation as a primary objective of their


peace-building approach. This peace-building approach is to explain what Reconciliation is & leave it to
the student/audience to determine whether and/or when they wish to follow this route.
