Academic Project in 8th semester:

Title: “First Pass Yield Improvement in Calibration of Fuel Pumps”.
Carried out at: BOSCH LIMITED (MICO), HOSUR ROAD, BANGALORE
Description: The main aim of this project is, to decrease the reduction percentage of fuel
pumps at the stage of calibration. In the conventional method the rejection
rate is about 43%. This rejection can be reduced by implementing “Shiain
process” and “DOE” methodology.
Firstly the fuel pump is assembled and comes to the calibration bench. Here
the fuel pump is calibrated according to the customer specifications.
The maximum rejection of pumps is due to T3 and F8 effect the main cause of
this effect is due to governor cover assembly and CRMF testing. Hence
by adopting this the techniques of DOE and Shanini Process the rejection of
pumps is reduced .
Work Experience:
1. Worked as marketing engineer in IPA Pvt Ltd in Peenya.
(From Oct-08 to Dec-08).
2. Worked as Junior Engineer in SRI GURU INDUSTRIES, Muthyalanagar,
B’lore. (Mfrs of sheet Metal Fabrication).

Company Profile:
It’s a manufacturing company, main work is to preparation of assembly covers,
door pannales,switch boards,locker front pannales,vaccum ducts,boiler outlets…etc can
be manufacturs by using sheet metal.

My Role:
 • Preparing a detailed quotation to the given orders of the products.
• Preparing a simple 2D drawings to the workers and explains about that.
• Preparation of Orthogonal views of the products and finalizing it with our head.
• During manufacturing giving some technical ideas to bending, cutting and
selection of tools to prepare products.
• Enquiry of present status of the project.
• After finishing the products checking the entire products according to the given
dimensions.
