Course Name: Business, Government and Society


Course Code: 18CG03
Course Credits: 3 No. of Sessions: 33 (Each session of 60 Minutes)
Academic Year: 2020-21 Duration: August – October 2020
Introduction:
The Course deals with forces in business, government and society shape our world. While current events move rapidly
over the surface of the subject matter, the underlying principles and relationships at its core lie undisturbed.

Learning Objectives:
• This course intends to introduce the students to the basics of Business, Government and Society

Course Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, the student will have the ability to:

Society correctly (PO1, PO2)
18CG03.2 Explain the key concepts, terms, terminology, theories and models in Business, Government and Society,
clearly (PO1, PO2)
18CG03.3 Apply the knowledge of the subject to provide a feasible solution or take a decision to a given business
political or social situation (PO1, PO2, PO4)
18CG03.4 Analyse and present a given real life business, Political or Social situation, working in teams effectively.
(PO1, PO2, PO5).

Pedagogical Approach:
Learning will be through a combination of textbook reading, class room lectures, assignments, presentations, quizzes,
discussions, External Speakers etc.

Course Evaluation:
Students will be evaluated on the following components:

Midterm test 25%
End term test 40%
Total 100%
