investigations and in conformance to its approved purpose. Any other use is
considered unintended use.

1.1 The Scope of This Manual

This manual is designed for service of the Mobile Angiographic Table as it relates to the electrical and
electronics aspects of the equipment.
It is designed to be used hand-in-hand with the Technical Manual and Operators Manual that comes with
this unit. All the warnings and cautions listed in those manuals are also in effect for the equipment subject of
this manual and may have priority over the material stated in this document.
All the documentation accompanying the equipment, and especially this manual, must be preserved and
made available to operators and technical support.

All documentation accompanying the equipment and especially this manual must be
kept and made available to operators and technical support. This documentation is
to be considered as part of the equipment.

1.2 Document Rights

This manual, including drawings, tables and photographs it contains, is the exclusive property of the
manufacturer. It may not be disclosed, copied or reproduced in part or by any means without their written
permission.
M.T. reserves the right to change / update this documentation without prior notice.

1.3 Documents that Come w ith the Equipment

The documentation supplied with the equipment and especially this manual must be carefully kept and
made available to those eligible. This documentation is part of the equipment and is delivered along with it.

1.4 Guarantees
The warranty, unless otherwise agreed between the parties and confirmed in writing, is 12 months from the
date of delivery. The warranty period is subject to scrupulous compliance with the instructions contained in
this manual.

1.5 Manufacturer’s Responsibility

The manufacturer declines any liability for material damage or personal injury resulting from use other than
that provided: these consequences are the sole responsibility of the user. The scrupulous observance of the
mode of operation, maintenance and repair work specified by the manufacturer is also considered an
essential part of the intended use of the equipment.

Modifications not provided for or authorized by the manufacturer will void the
manufacturer's liability for damages and injuries that might occur.

ELECTRICAL TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS General Info

1.6 Product Identification Labels

The units are identified with a series of adhesive labels positioned on the them. These labels are applied to
identify the product both from the commercial point of view both to fulfil the requirements of the standards
currently in force. On the rating plate shows the device name, the address of the company and the place of
production. It also lists the following information:

 Model
 Serial number and lot number
 Date of production (month and year)
 The nominal tension, number of phases, current absorption, and line frequency
 Labels of warning and dangers
 Serial number (not externally visible)

Make reference to the following figure for identification of the unit.

Do not remove the manufacturer labels applied to the equipment, they are an
integral part of the instructions and documentation that accompany it.

2 SERVICE PROCEDURES

2.1 Inclination Movement

The circuit that controls the inclination of the table top includes a potentiometer (at three turns of travel) for
the stop reference positions and two microswitches for end of travel (MS3 and MS4 at +/- 20°).
During standard working conditions, the potentiometer supplies the reference to stop the inclination
movement of the table top at 0°, +20° and -20°.
In case of potentiometer failure, this stop reference will be missing and therefore it will not be possible to
obtain the above mentioned stops. However, the stop positions of +/- 20° of inclination are assured by the
microswitches MS3 and MS4.
At the first inclination movement, the software effects a congruency check of the parameters given by the
potentiometer and the effected movement. If this check shows an error, the LED (LD3) of the push button
P2, that controls the automatic return of the table top to the horizontal position, signals it by lighting up
intermittently while the at 7-segment display of the PCB 514A signals the error number “6”.
In these conditions the inclination movement is permitted, without automatic stop at 0° of the table top, while
the longitudinal movement is not permitted.

2.2 Potentiometer Replacement

The potentiometer, complete with toothed pinion gear, is mounted on a flexible steel plate. To replace the
potentiometer, proceed as follows:

1. To remove the pinion gear, push the shaft of the potentiometer out of the pinion through the
hole in the gear by using a screw driver or other suitable tool.
2. Block the potentiometer on the steel plate very well by tightening by a fixed-key of 13mm and
with force its fastening bolt.
3. Regulate the potentiometer at half travel and couple the pinion gear to the motorized gear with
patient table top in its horizontal position. Regulate the coupling to have a light play between the
teeth and check that this remains more or less the same along all the inclination movement.
4. Block, well, the steel plate with the potentiometer on its support by using a 13 mm box-end
wrench and tightening the fastening bolt.

Be careful not to damage the potentiometer if re-using it! Use a suitable tool to
push the rotating shaft out of the gear. The potentiometer can be easily broken,
internally, if it is pulled out of the gear by using the body!

2.3 Electronic Calibration of the Inclination Movement

To re-calibrate the inclination movement, proceed as follows:
1. Power the equipment OFF.
2. Insert a jumper onto JP101 of the PCB 514A.
3. Power to the equipment ON.
4. On the 7-segment display of the PCB 514A, there appears the number that identifies the present
calibration phase. To go from this phase to the next one, you need to push the push button P0
(unlock brakes push button) only one time. The data acquisition is confirmed by the
contemporaneous flashing of the LED that are on the control board.

Go on accordingly to the chart 1:

ITX90T001DE :: JAN2014 -5-

ELECTRICAL TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS Service Procedures

CHART 1
Display Phase description
1 By using P9 and/or P10, bring the table top in its horizontal position (0°).
Push P0 to acquire the position and proceed to the next phase.
2* / 3 * Push P2 and keep it depressed. The table top automatically tilts a few degrees
toward the Trendelenburg position, returns in its horizontal position, and then tilts
a few degrees towards the ortho position. This movement permits to read the
position and cam length that activates the microswitch MS5.
4 By pressing continuously P10, tilt the table top toward the “Trendelenburg”
position (head side toward the bottom) to reach - 20° position.
Push P0 to acquire the position and proceed to the next phase.
5 By pressing P9 continuously, tilt the table top toward the “ortho” position (head
side toward the top) to reach the + 20° position.
Push P0 to acquire the position and proceed to the next phase.
6 The acquisition cycle is over; switch off the equipment and remove the jumper
from JP101 located onthe PCB 514A
7 Power the equipment ON again, and verify that the 7-segment display shows the n.
“0” indicating normal operation.
* Automatically proceeds to next phase by MS5 microswitch activation.
