Dear Judge
I have received the attached Petition For Municipal Disincorporation for The Town of Dutch
John and have reviewed as required by Titles 10-2-701 and 10-2-710, There were 71 votes cast
from the Town of Dutch John during the 2018 Congressional Election, which means that the
number of signatures needed rounded up to the next whole number is 18. The Clerk’s Office has
reviewed the signatures on the petition and found 29 of the 33 signatures match the signature we
have on file with the registered voters that reside in Dutch John. The Incorporation of Dutch
John took place on July 31, 2015 and no election has been held to decide the question of
dissolution of the municipality since that time.
In my opinion the Petition “substantially complies” with the requirements found in Title
10-2-701.5. Therefore, I respectfully submit this petition for the courts review and the
appropriate action following your review.
Respectfully,
Daggett County Cidrk/Treasurer
