The Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education, Major in Social Studies is a degree program designed to prepare students for becoming Secondary
School Social Studies Teachers. Graduates of this program are expected to be well-equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that will
aid them to facilitate the teaching-learning process of any Social Studies class for the secondary level.

This course that deals with study of Philosophy as an exploration of the fundamental questions and issues that have faced humanity throughout history. It
traces the significant views and developments as Philosophy unfolded through the ages, and endeavors to relate important philosophical questions, theories and
views to life’s experiences. It also aims to help students better understand themselves and the world they live in and enable them to navigate through the
challenges of life. In addition, the discussion also highlights the Eastern Philosophy and its related schoolds of thought and belief systems.
