Subject: Application for (Social Science) School Teacher Job

Good Day!

I am writing to show my interest in applying for the position of teacher in Social

Science in ACTS Computer College and I want to be part of a family moulding young
people not only in terms of intellect but also emotional and spiritual concept of being
humans.

I am JIAN MARIE ANDREA MIRANDA DE GUZMAN, Graduate of Laguna State

Polytechnic University, Santa Cruz Campus with the degree of Bachelor of
Secondary Education Major in Social Science last June 2019 and a Licensure
Examination for Teachers Passer of September 2019.

believe that my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the Laguna State
Polytechnic University-Santa Cruz Campus has prepared me for this position. As a
student, I was equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to help develop and
drive my technical know-how.

While taking my four-year course in the university, I also became part of the Student
Publication where I served as Staff Writer from 2016-2017; Literary Editor, from
2017-2018, 2018-2019; and also, Circulation Manager from 2018-2019. As an
Education student and a Publication Staff, I’ve become equipped with the necessary
knowledge that come with the position including leadership, initiative and teaching
new generation of young student journalists around Laguna.
My active involvement in many academic and extracurricular activities has done so
well in developing my communication and leadership skills, which are vital in finding
success in the teaching field. Thus, I can justify my learning as well as my ability to
get along with people.
I conducted my practicum in Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School wherein
I taught Contemporary issues in Grade 10 where I earned different techniques and
strategies in dealing students with cultural differences and different attitudes and
behaviors.
I recently had my first year of job in Southbay Montessori School and Colleges, Inc.
in my hometown wherein I only had 1 year of contract to deal with. I wanted to go out
from my comfort zone so I choose this school to share my passion in teaching, and
to grow professionally in this institution.
My goal is to collect bits of information regarding teaching strategies from my
internship and my service to the community as a volunteer lecturer for campus
journalism in different elementary and secondary schools around the province, for
me to apply it and serve the youth of Laguna in the near future. I believe that the
time has come for me to impart my knowledge not just being a teacher but also a
campus journalist and a leader that moulded by my in-house and outside trainings
and seminars.

I have also acquainted myself with a wide range of skills that allow me to blend with
the group or team’s culture and to continuously strive to reach common goals amidst
failures and setbacks.

It is my aim to combine my range of experiences with my ability to be a

compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent and flexible employee who will make a
positive contribution to your institution.
