You are being contacted to participate in a students project for a public health research course. This projects
title is: Why Disordered Eating Behaviors Are Rising in Western Civilizations through presence on social
media. This project is being conducted by Larissa Lee, a student in a public health research course at the
University of North Florida. The purpose is to determine if more time spent on social media is a large
influence on the rise of disordered eating behaviors and if we can use this information to detect those who
need to be diagnosed and receive help for eating disorders.
this survey is for men and women in college who participate in any platform on social media. It will ask about
behaviors and experiences with disordered eating and the connection of social media.
This survey is strictly voluntary, you can change your mind, not answer all the questions or not participate at
all if you do not want to and you can withdraw at any time.
