In this activity we study how the advances of technological innovation in our country
have been through Annex 1 - A Hothouse for Genius, remembering famous companies
of creation and programming of software such as parksoft and open systems
 OBJECTIVES

How does the article demonstrate the importance of technological innovation to

promote development in Colombia?

Innovation refers to the 'introduction of a new, or significantly improved, product (good

or service), a process, a new marketing method, or a new organizational method in the
internal practices of the company, the organization of the workplace or external
relations.

ICTs have provided greater opportunities to innovate and, therefore, directly in the
development of the country. The Internet and new communication capabilities facilitate
global collaboration, access to international markets and the dissemination of
knowledge. Thanks to ICT, more people have access to the Internet, even from
increasingly remote and remote corners of the world, which were previously on the
periphery and which, today, can be integrated into the dynamics of today. Today,
society and the education system have better possibilities to facilitate the access of the
poor to better education and training focused on work

Innovation is important at all stages of development, but different types of innovation

play different roles in each of them. In the initial stages, incremental innovation is
associated with the adoption of foreign technology, and social innovation can improve
the effectiveness of business and public services. In later stages, innovation is based
mainly on high technology and Research and Development (R&D) and is focused on
competitiveness and learning factors.

Since 1984 Open Systems, a successful software company from Colombia created by
Cali, Orlando Rincon has been fighting to Create natural ecosystems of
entrepreneurship around digital art, science and information technologies. On December
15, 1999 Orlando Rincón created ParqueSoft in Cali with mirror results. As of March
2006, more than 1,000 quality jobs have been created and nearly 200 companies have
been created.

Orlando Rincón is recognized for having designed a novel proposal to create

entrepreneurial natural ecosystems. To date, 14 different ParqueSoft have been founded
in different regions of the country. In 2005 Orlando was recognized with the award for
Social Entrepreneur in Colombia awarded by the World Economic Forum.
 CONCLUSIONS

 The activity was carried out step by step, studying and browsing the thematic content of
the course

 We started thematic content in the course with the importance of technological

innovation in Colombia
