I’ve always wanted to travel in space, to see new different things, to see the planets,
to learn new things about them. I have dreamed everyday, to float in the outer space,
to experience it without gravity. I believed that somedayI will be the one who would discover new things and help people
understand what the outer space looks like…. I do not want to do this because I wanted fame, supporters or money but
I’m doing this with dignity to learn more things..
Aside from this dreamed, I have also believe in God and Goddesses, because they were fascinating, Gods in the Greek
mythology have powers, powers to make new things, to summon lightning, and even traveled to one place from another,
To make you dream what you what to dream. I believed in all of these because I followed my instincts to trust and believe
in them.
Maybe some of you don’t believe in them because they think its foolish,
well it’s up to them if they want to believe it or not, but for me, I think it would do you good to believe in the unseen.

Chapter 1
After I went jogging, I let my body fall in the bed when I got home. And oh, my name is Alannie Chua, I’m 13 years old, I
live alone because my parents are abroad, and I don‘t have any siblings. I would love to go to the outer space so that I
would know the features of the planets around our solar system and also enjoy the experience of being in outer space..
I also believed that God and Goddesses from Greek mythologies are real… even though there’s no proof of them being
real, I choose to believe in them and besides, I follow my instincts and my heart in believing them.
Feeling my eyelids go heavier, I give up on fighting my sleepiness and draft to sleep. “Alannie” I heard a blury voice
called to me, there is a hint of softness and firmness in its voice.
“Alannie, I have heard of your prayers in wanting to go out to the space.”
The voice said, getting clearer now, the voice sounds familiar to me, it feels like I heard it before but not knowing where.
Then a thought came to me, “Ouranos-..?” I ask but “No, Hypnos” I corrected myself, realizing that time that
the God was talking in my dreams.
“Yes, that‘s right my child, I am Hypnos, the God of Dreams.” He said. I gasped as I stared at the forming shadows in
front of me, A figure of a man, wearing blue pajamas with white big dots, and a hat, Silver hair shining under
the moon with night-blue eyes glowing in the moon’s light. Then I blink suddenly realizing that I was transported in a
pitch black world with things twinkling like a star.
“Is-is th-tha..- Is that really you?” I asked.
“Yes it‘s me my child, worry not it‘s me, -the real thing.” he said.
“But why are you in my dream? I mean it‘s an honor that you visited me, but what-”
I was cut mid sentence when Hypnos talked “You‘re wondering why I‘m here?” he left out a sound that almost sound like
chuckling then the stars became brighter. When I didn’t move, he continued “I wanted to fulfill you‘re dream because I
can see that you‘re one of the people who can still remember and believes in us, and I can see that you have a good heart
and pure intentions. All the gods, even Ouranos agreed to grant you, you‘re dream.” he said. I beamed “ Even Ouranos?“
He chuckled and said “You like Ouranos right?”
“yep!” I agreed “but why are you here?” I asked
“We can be everywhere when our presence is recalled… and I am there because you are the one I felt that have a strong
belief in us. So we decided to grant you, you‘re wish”
“So you‘re gonna let me see the outer space?” I ask happily. “Now??”
Hypnos cracked and said “Do not fret my child, now is not a good time, Be ready to tomorrow night and I will fetch you
here.” he said. He smiled and kissed my forehead, then I woke up gasping.

Chapter 2
While preparing my food and clothes in a back pack, I keep thinking about my dream. Is that really true? Will he really
come? then the doorbell rang, I hurriedly ran downstairs.
“Hi, Hypnos.” I greeted, “Hello my dear, are you ready?…..oh, is that you‘re things? Were do you think we’re going? ” he
chuckled.. I felt my cheeks reddened again. Then Hypnos chuckled again. “ You don’t need to bring that much. Come
follow me.” he said, then we walked to my backyard.
“Oh WHOA!” I exclaimed, seeing the space shuttle. The color of the space shuttle is dark blue with yellow dots that
looks like stars. “You don‘t need to bring too many things, because everything you need, is in this space shuttle.” Hypnos
said. Entering the space shuttle “come come, follow me.” We went inside the space shuttle then automatically, a distant
figure came, a boy with gold hair and blue eyes. The image of the boy is blurry like in televisions when the signal is weak.
“Welcome to Voyage 2” the boy said. “Hello Will, this is Alannie, you would be receiving orders from her.” Hypnos said.
“whoa, whoa, me? Giving orders? Why? You’re not coming with me?” I asked. “Yes, forgive me child, there would be a
meeting for us Olympians.” he answered with a hint of disappointment in his voice. “well if you need something just ask
Will and he will provide everything.. but let me bless you first.” he said as he put his hand on my forehead then suddenly
a bright light covered me, so bright that I can see it through my closed eyes. “So go now, and take care.” he said then
disappeared. Will asked me for the first time. “where do you want to go?” “Uhmm, I think we should go to mercury first.”
I answered, looking through the window of the Voyager 2 to my house.
“Alannie, Alannie, we‘re here.” someone’s calling me, “hmm?” I answered. When I opened my eyes I saw Will looking
down at me. “oh I must have slept. sorry. You were saying? ” I ask. Then noticed that we have stopped. “We‘re here.”
Will repeated. Then I hastily stand up and fixed my wrinkled shirt. Will opened the door and gestured me outside. I took a
deep breath and went outside, expecting myself to float because of the absence of gravity, but boy I was wrong, I
remained standing on my feet. Will must have seen my reaction because he said “The lord Hypnos have blessed you so
nothing bad will come to you.” “Oh so that‘s why.” I said. MERCURY I said to myself again and again. Finally I’m here
in Mercury, the first step to my dream….. Oh my gosh, Mercury is heavy crated I told my self, it’s true every place you
look, the ground have lots and lots of craters. I cannot see any satellites maybe it’s true that Mercury don’t have any
moons. The land have a grayish color that looks ash gray…….
“Do you know that mercury is the roman name of Hermes in the greek mythology?” Will said as we sit down in the
chairs he prepared outside the space ship. “Yeah I know. The godd of messenger right?” I answered, staring at the craters
of the Mercury.
“Right.” he agreed. “The Mercury take 88 Earth days to complete one revolution and 58.7 Earth days to complete one
rotation.” he said, while staring out the horizon. I have no other choice but to listen to what he says, at least someone is
here to become my tour guide so I decided to listen carefully to what he says. “Mercury maybe rocky but inside the core is
rich in iron while the mantle consists off silicate.” he said with the voice of finalization. Then he stand up. “Do you still
have something to ask?” as I shake my head, he took my hand and lead me back the Voyager 2.

Chapter 3
This time, I stayed awake until we land in Venus. I was thinking since a while ago that if Venus is the hottest planet
because it is thick with atmosphere, how can we go stand the heat? Then Will answered as if reading my mind.
“Do not worry Alannie, always remember that you were blessed so no harm will harm to you, but here in Venus you will
feel a little of its heat.”
Then the door automatically opened as I neared it. By the time I stepped out, I felt a small tingling in my body, as if the
heat is crawling in my body, maybe Venus is really that hot that it can overcome the blessing of Hypnos a little. I suddenly
remember what my teacher in science, Mrs, Salao said ‘Venus is the 2nd planet in the solar system, the hottest, and……
what are the other things she told me?…… Oh yeah, that Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or
shortly after sunset, for which reason it has been known as the Morning Star or Evening Star in Earth. “Venus, the twin
sister of Earth.” I said, loudly enough for Will to hear.
When I turn around, Will was already standing beside me saying “I remember Lord Hypnos, telling me that Venus was
called the sister planet of Earth because of the similarity of it’s size, gravity, bulk composition and he also said that Venus
have possessed earth-like oceans. Venus was mainly composed of carbon dioxide.”
“Yup, I know that professor Will, I also know that Venus have the same internal structure with Earth, it have mantle, core
and crust, and it also have 167 massive volcanoes.” Will looked at me shocked. “what do-” “And let me add that these
continuous volcanic eruption is the reason why Venus have a lots of craters.” I cut him before he even finish his sentence.
Then I grin up at him and ask “You were saying?”
“what‘s up with professor?” he asked with one eyebrow up. “Well since we reached Mercury, you we‘re already lecturing
me, but it‘s ok I like it.”
I told him still grinning. Then he grin back, “Well, you left out the part that Venus have no moons, the thickness of the
atmosphere is like a greenhouse effect, it takes 225 Earth days to complete one revolution and 243 Earth days to complete
one rotation. The surface is consist of rocky, dusty, waterless expanse of mountains, canyons, and plains, with a 200-mile
river of hardened lava.” He said. “That‘s all, so let‘s proceed to the next planet.” “Ha! Sir yes sir.” I saluted and marched
to the Voyager 2. I stole a glance on Will and saw that he is smiling.

Chapter 4
“We‘ll jump the Earth and proceed to Mars okie?” I asked.. “okay, okay” he answered.
While eating, I remember Earth, it’s land and water form. I remember ma’am Salao again, lecturing us that, Earth is called
blue planet. That Earth is mainly composed of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. She said that it takes 23hours,56
mins. and 4secs. to complete the Earth’s rotation. And 365 and one fourth days to complete one revolution. The earth have
4 seasons, Spring, Winter, Summer, and Fall. the Earth have internal structures, the crust, mantle and core, which have the
inner core and outer core.
“Alannie, why did you stop eating?” Will said breaking my thoughts and bringing me back to reality.
“We‘re here .” he said after finishing my food. when I look out, whoa, the planet is totally red! No wonder it was called
the red planet. I remember that my friend Mia, told me that it is the iron oxide that gives off the reddish appearance. “Here
goes the fourth and the last terrestrial planet.” Will said. joining me as we went out the Voyager 2. “Whoa, what a crater
this one is” I said pointing at the big, huge crater in front of us. “It is because of the volcanoes here in Mars” Will said, as
if lecturing me again so I playfully rolled my eyes.
Mars has lost it’s magnetosphere I remember ma’am Salao said, as she asked the question of bhennz.
“It takes 24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35.244 seconds to complete one rotation and 1 year, 320 days, and 18.2 hours to
complete one revolution” Will continued “ and Mars have 2 moons, Phobos and Deimos right?” I asked
“Yep that‘s right., Lord Hypnos told me, that planet Mars is capable of sustaining life forms, but during it‘s perihelion, it
dries up the water from the river bank.”
“If that‘s the case then why does the sun dries up the water?” I asked
“It‘s easy, because Mars have a thin atmosphere.” he finished, then the ground seem to rumble, I look at Will to make sure
that I was not hallucinating this, then I saw terror in his face, he shouted “Alannie take cover!!! Don’t look!!” but it was
too late, and it took me time before I realized what was happening, the sun’s hot rays was reaching me , luckily, I have
time to cover my eyes from it’s brightness. Then someone grabbed me and held me tight. “Don‘t look up.” said Will while
walking, I don’t know where we’re going but I followed him as he led me by hand to the stairs that I presume would be
the stairs going inside the Voyager 2.
“I’m sorry, really, really sorry, I didn‘t expect it to happen so quickly than I expected” he said. Then I blink, and blink
again, trying to wash off the dizziness, the sun’s rays brought me.
“But the God‘s blessing-” “The sun is still strong, it would have done a damage if you weren’t quick in covering your
eyes.” he said cutting me off.
Maybe he saw disbelief in my face because he said, “Let me make it up ok.?”
“How?” I asked.
“Well, look out the window.” he said eyeing me hopefully, my anger was washed with amazement when I saw many
shining object that separates Mars from Jupiter, I’m sure of it, the beautiful thing that was exactly in front of me is the
Asteroid belt. the I remembered something, “Professor, I think you forgot to tell me that Mars is the Romanian form of
Ares the God of war.” I said in a British accent. “That‘s why I felt as if I‘m forgetting something, now that you mention it,
I think I remembered it now.” he said in a same accent.

Chapter 5
Will and I walk and stare at the wonders of Jupiter after we land in. This is the 5th and largest planet in the solar system,
this is also the first planet among the Jovian’s. I thought while twirling and jumping among the big crater of Jupiter, Will
was following me carefully looking for danger. “Zeus.” I said aloud, then Will looked at me confused. “Excuse me?” he
asked. I looked at him and said “Zeus,- just like Zeus, who is the mightiest, and the powerful among Gods, Jupiter is the
biggest among the planets and he is like a king, that reigns his kingdom properly.” I said, almost surprise by that
comment. “What are you looking at?.” I asked Will when I saw him staring at me. “Well, I think, that’s the most mature
words I heard from you since we started our journey.” he said
“Are you kidding me? Since we arrived that’s the only comment you think was mature?” I asked him teasingly. “That’s an
ouch for me” I said putting my hands on top of my chest.
“Whoa, stop that drama.” he said frowning at me. “What? You mean you’re serious of what you just said?” I asked him
with one eyebrow raised.
“I don’t know. Anyway, I would be lecturing you today” he said standing straight like a professional. “Jupiter is
considered as a gas giant, He is the 3rd brightest object in the night, it is primarily composed of hydrogen and have a rocky
core.” he continued.
“And because of Jupiter’s rapid rotation, it’s shape was said to be an oblate spheroid, because of it’s storm and turbulence
along their interacting boundaries, the result was known as the Great Red spot, a giant storm that is known to have
existed since at least the 17th century when it was first seen by telescope.” I added. “yep, that’s right. Jupiter also have a
faint ring called the Gossamer ring, it’s biggest moon is the Ganymede. Jupiter’s magnetosphere is also powerful.” he
said. “Galileo Galilei was the one who discovered Jupiter’s moon.” I finished. “I really can’t believed that Jupiter is so
huge!.” I exclaimed. “Will laughed and called to me “Come now, there’s no more here to see.”
Chapter 6
“Saturn has a beautiful rings right?” I asked Will. “Hmm? Oh yeah, from what I know, Saturn’s ring do not have name
yet right?” He asked “hmm, know that you mention it, you’re right, it was not name yet. Why?”
“Because, Lord Hypnos didn’t tell me any of this. weird.”
“Wait, do you remember that the Greek form of Saturn was Cronus right? The father of Zeus and the other Olympians
right? So maybe this subject is still touchy with them.”
“You know Alannie, you’re right. How come I have not think of this before? And why you?” he asked.
“Maybe, because I’m smart and full of humor?” I teased.
“Maybe,” he agreed then we both laugh.
“We’re here come along.” he said gesturing me to follow him as he went toward the door. I quickly followed him, not
wanting to miss a single thing.
“Saturn, the 2nd largest, planet in the solar system. Like Jupiter, Saturn was also a gas planet, made up of gas and liquid.”
Will said shifting back into his professor mode.
“My teacher in science, Ma’am Salao, said that Saturn’s planetary magnetic field was weaker than the Earth’s magnetic
field. That The interior of Saturn is composed of a core of iron, nickel, silicon and oxygen compounds, surrounded by a
deep layer of metallic hydrogen, an intermediate layer of liquid hydrogen and liquid helium, and an outer gaseous layer” I
mentioned Ma’am Salao for the first time in front of Will. Who looked amused.
“Well, that’s right.” He said. “ Saturn have nine rings, 62 moons but 53 known moons, not including the ‘moonlets’ within
the ring. And by the way, titan is Saturn’s biggest moon, and the 2nd largest moon in the solar system, like Jupiter, it is also
a Oblate Spheroid.”
“Well that’s right, I also heard that Saturn has a rocky core which consists of hydrogen and helium , and like Earth, above
this, there is a thicker liquid metallic layer, and it takes Saturn 10,759 Earth days (or about 29½ years), to finish one
revolution around the Sun”
I frowned at him.
“why?” he asked confused.

Chapter 7
“Why?” he asked again. Instead of answering, I climbed back to Voyager 2 and Will quickly follow asking why is my
reaction like that. Then I snapped at him.
“You want to ask me what?! You already said all the information and didn’t even bother to let me tell ou what I know.”
“Oh.” he said looking at me, “Well were going to Uranus now, you can tell all that you know about it then if you left out
some information I can fill you in” then he laughed when I beamed.
“Really? You’ll do that? Thank you” I said. Looking out the window to look if we’re near. Then I felt my heart skipped
when I saw the Voyager 2 land on Uranus. Then I jumped at my feet. “We’re here!” I said cheerfully the Will talked
“That’s my line.” I glared at him, then he raised his hands. I giggled and went down.
“Okay, I will be your tour guide today.” “First, Uranus was the 3rd largest gas planet and was named after the Greek deity,
Ouranus was the father sky, before Zeus. My favorite” I said then Will clapped his hands. I raised my hands to tell him
stop.
“Uranus was the first planet to be discovered by telescope, it was discovered by William Herschel. Uranus, along with the
other Jovian planet was considered as The Ice planets. But Uranus contains more ice than Jupiter and Saturn, because it is
the farther from the sun than Jupiter and Saturn. Uranus was virtually featureless planet in visible light without the cloud
bands or storms associated with the other giants.” I said and took a deep breath before continuing.
“Uranus revolves around the Sun once every 84 Earth years. Its orbital elements were first calculated by Pierre-Simon
Laplace. The ice mantle is not in fact composed of ice in the conventional sense, but of a hot and dense fluid consisting of
water, ammonia and other volatiles. Uranus is also a gas planet, have a shape of oblate spheroid. Oh I completely forgot,
Uranus also have 13 rings. Uranus also have 27 known satellites. The first 2 moons that were discovered were Titania,
(who were the biggest )and Oberon, the smallest is Miranda. And Uranus was also considered as the lazy giant.” I finish.
“So professor did I left something out? I asked Will who was clearly amused of my report. “Well, so far, you have told me
all the information. So let’s proceed to Neptune.” he said, handing his hands out to me, and I happily take it.

Chapter 8
“This time, it’s my turn to tell you what I knew about Neptune, so just sit back and listen.” He said when we arrived in
Neptune. “Okay, I will listen to you like the way you listen to me.” I said fairly.
“First of all, Neptune is the 4th largest and the last planet in the Jovian’s, He is known as the blue giant. Neptune orbits the
Sun every 165 years, while it takes 16 hours and 6.7 minutes to complete one day. Neptune have 8 moons, and the biggest
is Triton. Neptune is composed of a mixture of molten rock, water, liquid ammonia and methane, and also a mixture of
heated gases comprised of hydrogen, helium, water and methane. And it is Methane that gives Neptune its blue cloud
color.” he stopped an think for a while before continuing “Neptune is a dynamic planet with several large, dark spots
which is called Great Dark spots. It takes Neptune 16 hours and 11 mins. To complete one day. While 164.8 Earth-years is
needed to complete one revolution.” he said, but all the time I was staring at him while he is pointing on the important
part. This is the first time I stared at him, noticing his gold hair was dancing under the light of the stars. And his clear blue
eyes, he’s so handsome, and I am so confused with this new feeling building inside me. Then I was startled when I noticed
that he was already staring at me. “ Alannie what’s the problem?” he asked, genuinely concern. I felt my Cheeks
reddened, and my heart beating fast, I felt my throat tightened that it is hard to speak, but, I was able to find the right
words. “Oh nothing, I was so into your report that I was mesmerized by the beautiful planet.” I said smiling up at him,
trying to hide the redness of my cheek with my smile. “You’re finish right?” I asked. “Let’s go to Pluto.” I said, pulling
him toward the door of the Voyager 2.

Chapter 9
Right now I am lying on the bed and staring up the ceiling, because Will have forced me to go to sleep, but I can’t really
sleep, so I decided myself to get carried away my by Day dreams. First thing that came to my mind is when I first met
Will, the times we have spent together, the times he tried to save me, the moment I look at him a while ago, I suddenly
have this feeling,- the feeling of melting whenever he stares at me, whenever our eyes meet. The fast beating of my heart
whenever he comes close, what is this feeling?….then I realized at that time that Pluto would be the last planet we would
be together, I realized that it hurts so much, thinking about the upcoming separation once this journey ends. Then I felt hot
tears in my cheeks., maybe this is what they called love.
“Alannie? Are you awake?” I heard someone knock. So I hastily wiped my tears and said “Wait a minute, I’m coming.”
Then tried to fix my dress and wiped my eyes, and opened the door.
“Are we here?” I asked. “Yes, we’re here, come.” he said.
“Pluto, the last planet before this journey end.” said Will, looking hurt.
“Yup, I know that Pluto is the Roman form of Hades the God of the underworld.” I said trying to break the silence.
“Pluto is considered as a drawf planet because of it’s size, and he is also known as the 2nd massive drawf planet in the
solar system after Eris.” Will finally said. “Pluto is composed primarily of rock and ice. Pluto have 3 known moons, the
Charon, Nix and Hydra. It takes Pluto 248 Earth years to complete one revolution. Another reason why Pluto was
removed as a planet because it is already orbiting together with Neptune’s orbit.” Will said, grabbing my hand and leading
me to the door of Voyager 2. “That’s it. We’re finished.” he said, his voice has a hint of disappointment.
We were riding the Voyager 2 when Will talked. “ I think it’s time for you to know that I am not a computer program, I
am real, maybe you thought that I am a program because of the way I was transported here. But I am alive.” he said taking
my hand, he put it in his beating heart. I felt my tears fall.
“ I thought I was the only one who felt this way, but I am wrong, Alannie, I love you.” he said.
My tears continue to fall, “I love you too Will.” my heart seemed to explode with happiness “ I love you, love you so
much.” I said again and again but this time we said it together. “I love you, so much.” we were hugging each other tightly
when we landed on my backyard. “ I can’t live without you, please stay with me I said. Then suddenly someone cleared
his throat, when we turned, we saw Hypnos, seating at the corner, watching us with amused eyes. “ Lord Hypnos, I love
Alannie and I want to stay with her.” Will said. Then I stared at Hypnos, shocked of what I am seeing; He was crying, “I
know Will, that’s why I chose you to be with her, because I know she can change you, she can turn you to a soft hearted
person.. I knew all along that you would fall in love with her, this is your chance to love yourself.” Hypnos said patting
Will’s shoulder, and turn to me, “ Alannie, another reason why I granted your wish, I know that you are capable of loving
him, that’s why, I let you two alone, so you can learn how to love each other. I will be leaving you with Will, please take
care of him.” Hypnos said and kissed my forehead then I blacked out.
I woke up, staring at the ceiling, - wait, ceiling?! Will! I thought then went downstairs, its already morning, I thought and
went out the house and saw Will leaning in a car, smiling up at me. I burst crying, “will,” I said as I sobbed. And Will
caressed my hair and said “Lord Hypnos already took care of everything, my house, my car, and everything.” he said
gently. “You’re here, you’re not a dream, Oh will, I love you.” I said still sobbing. “Yup, I’m here, and I will stay with you
forever, I love you.” He said. As he brushed his lips with mine. Then hugged me tightly. “I’ll never let you go.” he said as
he buried his face in my hair.
