PowerPoint Presentation – Natural Resources

1. Choose any natural resource – it must be of use to humans, or have


value to humans.
Examples:
Specific varieties of plants or trees – i.e. Ash Tree
Animals – i.e. - Rhinos
Marine life – i.e. Orca
Soil
Food – i.e. Bananas
Minerals – i.e. Coal

2. Describe the resource. Where is it found? What are its uses? What are some significant
facts about the resource? Is it endangered? Is it renewable? How is this resource
connected to the earth’s spheres?
You should include pictures and diagrams.

3. Show the location of this resource on a map. You choose the way you display this
information! A world map, and map of the country or both?

4. How has this resource suffered or been manipulated (exploitation)? Example – Corn –
used for ethanol, damages soil, food source.

5. How can this resource be sustained? How can humans protect or continue to use this
resource without impacting future generations?

FORMAT:
Your slideshow should be formal with subtitles. It should include a variety of visuals such as
pictures, maps and diagrams.
It should be at least15 slides. You should have a title page, and a final slide with a bibliography
including at least 5 sources.
