12 using the curriculum guide.
2. The teacher will allow the learners to share their expectations in the subject.
3. The teachers will present the competencies and the topic to be discussed for
the week.

Let’s Game.
The Teacher will be flashed 8 pictures of Philippine Folk Dance equipment’s and
the learners will guess what is in the pictures. Two-minute presentation that
reflects your understanding of what “Traditional Philippine Folk Dance” is about.
Explain the functions and usage of the different equipment’s

B. Development What I know?


The learners will answer the 15 – item pre-test and to test what they already
know about the topic After answering the questions, they may check their
answers on the last part to determine the background knowledge about the given
topic reflected in the MELC.
What’s In?
Traditional Philippine Folk Dance Binasuan
1. Pictures of the dancers, Glass of water, literature, musicality and basic step will be flashed or
given to the learners.
2. They will study the pictures and taking notes their observations on their notebooks or modules
provided.

Binasuan Folk Dance


Binasuan is a folk dance that originated in
Bayambang, Pangasinan,. The word
“binasuan” means “with the use of
drinking glasses.” The dancers balance
glasses on their heads and in their hands
as they move. The glasses are filled with
rice wine, which makes any misstep a
messy mistake. People dance binasuan at
weddings and festivals
What is it?
I need to know…

 The learners will ready to explore the topics through a given pictures and
to understand fully the topics given in the MELC.
 The learners will read the lecturette and make their creative way of reporting like Ms. Q
and A, TV Newscaster, Public Speaking and comedy bar etc. The teacher will assign each
student to discuss the different pictures assigned to them. The learners will be given
sufficient period of time to do their creative reporting either via zoom app or video
recording.

Let’s Practice! Binasuan AS A RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY!
Learn Traditional Philippine Folk Dance Binasuan Basic Dance Steps!
As a participative activity, the learners will be asked to cooperate by performing
the basic dance steps of binasuan Dance and to sets FITT goals based on
training principles to achieve and/or maintain HRF. They are instructed to
perform the said folk dance guided by the instructions showing how they should
perform it with appropriate movements. They will be graded by the use of
rubrics.
Here’s how:

Basic Dance Steps

1. waltz
Step, Close, Step 12&3
2. Fundamental feet and arm position
1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th

As the students performed the basic dance steps and, they will be able to
categorize each basic step and they will learn how to differentiate them from one
another.
 These varying activities will help them in involving themselves in deeper
learning on the target concepts about the topics and MELC.

What I can do?


The learners will perform real – life tasks
 After the discussion and presentation of the Traditional Philippine Folk
Dance Binasuan, the class will try to give real-life tasks.
 Then, the learners will explain on their worksheet the reason what is the
important of this Traditional Philippine Folk Dance in our life.
 They are expected to reflect on the process of performing the tasks while
focusing on their learned concepts about the topics.
What other enrichment activities can I engage in? (Additional Activities)
 To further enrich learners’ knowledge, skills and attitudes/values, they
will be performing other enrichment tasks that can be found from each
module.
 As an additional activity to the learners, they will try to discuss the
importance of Traditional Philippine Folk Dance Binasuan to our life and
also to our Culture.
D. Assimilation What I have learned?
 An audio visual performance will be presented or showed to the learners
for them to watch. The video presentation is entitled “ The Samahan
Filipino Folk Dance - Binasuan”
 They will create a creative illustration of the timeline about the “ The Samahan
Filipino Folk Dance - Binasuan”
They are expected to relate their learned concepts to their personal lives.
What I can do? (Assessment)
1. At the end of each lesson, the learners will answer the 10 – item test.
2. Then, they will submit their answers to the teacher for checking and
recording.
